Well the day is finally here. Honestly it came so fast! It seems like just yesterday my fiancee proposed to me, which was over a year and a half ago! I am SO nervous right now. Not for the marriage itself but for the actual ceremony. It's also an 80% chance of rain for tomorrow - which isn't exactly calming my nerves right now. Any ideas on calming the nerves? For those of you who are married - were you nervous the day before? How did you stay calm?

You don't have to be nervous for that Jennlk84... You had that nervous feeling maybe just because you were so excited ya know?.. Well it's normal i think... About the rain, let it be the rain be a witness and to convoy your new started life. I wish for your happiness time together and serve devotedly each other, also hopefully got many cute and good children for their parents.

Oh my gosh....congratulations!!! I really wasnt nervous.. the day before, the day of, the hour before... and we got married later in the evening, like 7 pm was our ceremony time... and it wasnt until they lined me up to walk down the aisle that it hit me and I was nervous then... I was good all day because I was too concerned about where this bag was...or did we make sure so and so was bringing this... and I spent the day at my moms nail salon (where I of course got my nails done and even helped them out so they didnt get behind)... I guess keeping my mind busy was enough to keep me from being nervouse....until the actual minute. I got to see the tape my hubby's friends made of him all day and if I would have known how nervous he was ALL day, I would have smacked him!! LMAO.... seriously!!!! He even cried during the ceremony and made everyone else cry for that!!! I whispered to him to not mess my make up!!! but then at that point I was doing everything I could to not cry. Just have fun and enjoy your day!!!! I hope it was all a success and it will be a day to remember!!!!!!

Congratulations and good luck tomorrow. As far as calming your nerves, I was to medicated to remember about my nerves. Both my wife and I were really sick with the flu that was 16 years ago and the glue is still sticking. It will be over before you know it. Have fun.

I am sorry that I didn't see this discussion before but am glad that I did see the one you made asking people how long they've been married. I sure hope that I am not nervous the day before or of, because I know that my fiance and I are going to have our fair share of getting everything set up and helping everyone out. Not sure if I mentioned this but we're not taking our honeymoon right after the wedding. We'll stay there to help clean up. We're not even sure if we'll get to go anywhere because it depends on the health of a family member. Lol.

That is so awesome! My cousin is getting married today, too - how coincidental! My advice is just what our coordinator told us - drink some water and eat something before hand, and make sure not to "lock your knees" when you're standing at the altar - because that can cause blood to stop flowing to your brain and you to faint! These are only a couple of things that I can think of that she mentioned. I'm sure everything will be just fine, and I'll cross my fingers for no rain! . By the way, CONGRATULATIONS!!
