This is going to sound strange, but it's true...

This doesn't happen all of the time, but nearly half the time that my hubby blows his nose, the sound is very odd, like the sound of a woman screaming. The very first time I heard it I was in another room of our house, and it freaked me out; as I thought he was hurt or something. And it must run in the family, because I had the chance to hear his mother blow her nose, and it's the same sound, like someone crying out for help. I'm somewhat used to it now, but it's still odd. Has anyone else heard something like this?

Wow! Never heard of anything like that, not even close. But I did have a friend that when he sneezed, it was so loud that I thought the roof would collapse. When he sneezed, he got every one to turn around and see what the noise was. Maybe he could cash on that sound by entering the World Book of Guinness as the man with the strangest nose blowing.

Try recording that noise so that he can actually hear what you hear.

Yes, you know there are some really strange things on this planet. My hubby doesn't believe me when I've told him about the sound his nose makes when he blows it, and that is very frustrating, you know? Who would lie about something stupid like this? Anyway thanks for your comment.

I blow my nose all the time... dumb allergies... but it doesn't sound wierd at all. It is pretty normal, unless everyone I hear is just wierd.

Hi EpicPro, I'm beginning to think that the blower of the nose can't hear the sound, and only the people near the blower can hear it. Thank you for stopping by.

the only time I have ever heard a strange noise come out of a person's nose was an employee of mind who when she sneezed sounded like she was laughing.

That's really odd, I don't know which is zanier, the screaming or the lauging. When I asked my hubby about the sound he made when he blew his nose, he just looked at me baffled and said I was drunk. So I presume he couldn't hear it. I was ready to call 911. Thanks savypat.
