I started a discussion regarding downloading songs off the internet. Come off it with the self righteous BULLSH**! Any one that has and Ipod or an MP3 player has done it. You also mean to tell me that no one has ever let someone listen to their Ipod? Let someone download a song of YOURcomputer? Im not saying that some dont but SOME DO! We all have listened to someone elses music whether we wanted to or not. If you have attended any type of party that has been DJ'd you have. They use mix tapes all the time and get paid for there services. I AM SO MAD! the response were so GOODY GOODY! Some of them were realistic. Isnt myLot about starting discussions we want someone real opinions to? I give my real opinion, good or bad, everytime. Why must we try to be something we're not? I love this site and have been here for 2 years. I enjoy talking to people that I have had responses from since the beginning and making new friends. I understand that we want people to like us and think we are good people but NOT by giving a response that you think will make you look good. WE DONT KNOW YOU PERSONALLY! Why not let us get to know you by keeping it real. I am a good person. I keep it real. I would like everyone to like me for my opinions but we all know that disagreeing makes myLot fun and interesting. I just get so mad when I check a discussion and receive the "oh I would never~!" or "HOw can anyone do that?" I have done things that I knew werent probably the best way to go. I admit it! I never try to be something I am NOT...Is there anyone out there with me?

I take it me you mean. You want to calm down.I answered you honestly. No one said you were dishonest.I am just answering you with the law ,I did not make the law and I am not saying it is fair, sharing with friends and record, music in general,it is down loading on a massive scale ,just remember it is the music business that has bought these rules in not me,if you don't want the truth of whats happening don,t ask,me take me off your freinds list ,you are right you don't know me ,I am not a goody goody just a woman living with the rules that are made and I just happen to see what the music industry means.I have lived fifty years living by the rules thats why I have never been in trouble with the law or have a police record.I may not have agreed with every rule but we live in a democracy and whether you agree or not you have to abide by the rules. The next time I shall just say carry on.If you get caught and can afford the fines or not,I shall not give a damn stealing is stealing love what ever you think. If paying honestly for everything I have worked for through my life makes me a goody goody then yes you are right and I hold my hands up.

You have not offended me honey and I did not mean to make you upset, perhaps I got the jist of your discussion a bit strong, but looking through the responses one.I feel maybe you worded things a bit wrong it made you look like you thought downloading for nothing was ok.I must admit we all do things that arn't quite right sometimes but learning through our mistakes is what we human beings do best.I was just concerned that you may carry on doing it and find yourself in trouble,These sites are very misleading living on the edge of the law. They don't care if you get into trouble they are just out to make money, all the best friends forever suzzy3.

Thank you for answering my response. I wouldnt want to have insulted or offended you. Im glad you set the record straight as far as your feelings were concerned. I download occasionally from limewire. I dont sell them or make any kind of money off them . It's for my enjoyment only. Stealing is stealing. Again I think that sometimes people do things because they have no other choice. Unfortunately for me, in my world everything iisnt black or white. I have a grey area as well. thanks so much for understanding where I was coming from. I am super sorry if I was rude in any way. Happy MyLotting my friend dl ,

it may be some people are afraid to some extent to come right out and say they share/download.million dollar lawsuits and such.i can understand that in a way. i don't know...if i didn't want to admit to something,i just wouldn't post to a discussion..that's just me though. having said that..i don't even own an ipod..i'm probably the one in a million that doesn't yet.

Good rant! And, well said. Some people are very self riotous as if they do no wrong. But most people have their secrets. The only thing that worries me about downloading music is that the music industry is very litigious and has started over 30,000 law suits against illegal music downloads. I have no moral cause against music downloading, I'm just scared that I'll end up in the same situation as that Minnesota mom. She uploaded music illegally to share with friends and now owes 2 million dollars! How crazy is that? Anyway, keep downloading...if it doesn't scare you, then go for it.

Hi there dloveli, for starters this is your 666 discussion so that can't be good. I once started a discussion on that same sort of thing when I was first a member here. There are people out there that do not download music and are passionately against it. They hare giving you their honest thoughts. I got the same thing on my discussion. My thoughts were that if I didn't download...I'd not be buying their music anyway. I love a variety and I listen to so many genres. I was just downloading cd's for my car. So many times someone would hear a song and ask who it was ...possibly went out and bought the CD . I don't make CD's of any one particular group. It is pretty much what the radio does for musicians. One reason why I really don't invest in CD's is because all too often I have based on a song or two that I heard and only to find that most of the CD sucked.

Actually, I don't think you can download an entire CD. I don't really know. But I know on limewire there are limited songs for each band. I know I had a friend who heard a "she wants revenge" song on one of my CD's and loved it. He asked if I could make him a CD of that band . I tried and couldn't....had to use quite a few filler songs. I do understand why you feel upset at the negative comments because they make it sound as if you are stealing or in some way hurting the bands or at least that is the responses I got. I don't consider it stealing. It's like making tapes off from the radio back in the day....as long as you weren't selling them it was ok.

To be quite honest I didnt know you could download the entire CD. I only thought it was song by song. I am not a computer genius. I am just learning. I only began about two years ago. So I was pleased that I learned how to download and then move the playlist to my media player! I am not that skilled as of yet. I make CD's of random songs. I wouldnt want a whole CD. I guess I am not the majority.. I am the same way you are I hear something and want to know what the song is. Oh well I have alot to learn. dl

I have downloaded music from the internet before that I didn't pay for.. What am I a bad person for doing this? I think not... People that can not sit there and be truthful shouldn't be joining that discussion period... Everyone that I know that has or had a computer downloaded something if not music, pictures or some other copyrighted material in the past... Goody too shoes, people are just FAKES!!

Its not something people think about. If they dont ask for your credit information, and they give you the song, Why would you think it was something that was against the law. Bottom line is that in some way, shape, or form everyone has shared music. Most of us do it and dont even realize it. Why not be honest. Here at myLot we start discussions on what we want. Why not answer it and tell the truth? Its not like I am going to know who you are. Dont get me wrong, I realize that everyone is different and that's what makes myLot so great. Right? I dont know about anyone else but I do know when someone is not being upfront with me. All that "Not Me", "I would Never", "Who Me's", make me crazy. What's the big deal if you did something wrong? It just proves you're human. that's all. dl

I don't understand what the fuss is about there are hundreds of websites that give away free music downloads and movies. If it was illegal wouldn't they be shut down? I am a member of one of these websites and I get the latest movies, games and music. I'm not a thief and I don't think the owner is either. We just have to pay a one time small fee to become a lifetime member and we can download as much as we want. Fill your iPod with music, get the latest movies, download the games and to heck with those who say they wouldn't do that. They don't know what they are missing out on. Let them pay so we can benefit from them. I like FREE don't you?

Yes Exactly my point. There are all these people with the holier than thou attitudes. Take for example ciggerates. You have a discussion on how many ciggerates you smoke a day and blam there are people telling you about its side effects. Grow up...we all watch TV, read the newspapers, surf the internet. We all know what they can do, so cut the crap out and about downloading songs. Yeah its illegal, yeah its immoral...blah blah blah. Fine then you don't do it, don't give people crap, guys!!! I won't spend 3 dollars on the one good track of the whole album just to find out the rest of the album sucks....I just can't stand these morons
