What's dad getting for Father's Day?

I did my shopping today. Bought my husband a simple, portable charcoal grill. We have a gas grill, but there's nothing like the taste of burgers cooked on a charcoal grill. We had a picnic at a park awhile ago and he said he wanted a little charcoal grill. I also bought him a bag of charcoal, and some burgers for him to grill on Sunday. Also I bought him some packages of popcorn that go with his Whirly Pop I got him for Christmas. He'll be happy with his gifts.

My dad is getting a basket delivered to him with a pizza making kit and fixings. For my husband, I took the kids over to Cost Plus and we made up a goodie basket with some of his favorite things to eat and drink. I also got three little picture frames and I'm going to put pictures of the kids in them.

Are they ever? I'm sure both dads will appreciate their gifts.

Cool, he sound like he is going to have one great Father's Day. My dad is getting a card, a Father's day cookout and I am trying to find a battery operated desk top fan for him.

I found a bunch online that are 10 inch fans ranging in the prices of $19.99-39.99 depending on the brand and size. They are some desktop ones and portable camp fans.

I hope he has a battery recharger for that! We had to get one for my godfather when he was in the hospital, and we went through batteries like there was no tomorrow. We had to go out and buy a battery recharger, and of course the special rechargable batteries. Wish I could tell you where to find those fans too, but I don't remember, I was only 12.

well I was going to travel to Georgia to see my dad for Father's day, but my back decided to put me out of commission for a week, so unless I see some dramatic improvements in my condition between now and tomorrow afternoon, I will not be able to make the trip as planned. I guess I can try to go later on in the Summer though.

I wish I could have bought gifts like that, they are some lovely presents and ones that everyone can get some enjoyment out of. Unfortunately I just dont have the money right now to buy much at all. All I have bought this year is some chocs and smellies!

My husband did not want me to get him anything because he knows we're broke right now, Aydan's birthday is on Monday, which is of course more important, and he didn't get me anything for Mother's Day because of how broke we were. He would completly understand if he got nothing, and your hubby does too.

I am so bad...I haven't even gotten him anything yet. He works this weekend so I will probably take the kids out tomorrow to pick something up. I am the worst at picking things out and still have no clue what to get. If my husband didn't already have one of those little grills that would have been a great idea for him...he likes the real grill flavor plus we can use it for making smores.

I usually have an idea in my head months ahead of time. I wanted to get him a new gas grill because his is on it's last legs, but I wasn't able to save up enough and had to go with a cheaper option. I'd love to get him a laptop for his birthday in September, but that may not be possible. As it gets closer to the time I will think about cheaper alternatives.

Sounds like an excellent gift. My husband likes the taste of food cooked w/ charcoal as well. Well, my husband's camera and television broke a few months ago, so we had to buy a new one of each. Since we spent a lot of money on these two items, we aren't really purchashing a gift for him, and he agreed he didn't need us to. I work at home part time, so I have more time to clean the house than he does, but he usually cleans the floors. I did those for him today, so he wouldn't have to. The children are making crafts for him. Sunday for breakfast we are having blueberry french toast. Sunday for lunch we are having steak stuffed with cheese and breaded, pasta w/ marinara sauce. For dessert, my daughter is making him one of his favorite cakes, coconut. Of course, we are also going to do everything for him on Sunday, won't let him lift a finger. :)

I usually bake my husband a cake on Father's day too, but Monday is my son's birthday, so I'll be making him a cake instead. 2 cakes might be too much, but I haven't decided forsure yet.

My husband is getting 2 gifts and then he wants tools so he'll have to pick them out himself. I got him a coffee scoop that has his initials engraved on it. He drinks a lot of coffee and the scoop he has wouldn't fit inside his coffee container. I also got him a new pittsburgh steeler shirt. it says worlds greatest dad and has the steeler emblem on it. He'll really like that one.

I want to know more about popcorn that goes with Whirly Pop. I have no idea what a Wirly Pop is, and I simply must know. My hubby got a new wallet packed with Gift Certs to his favorite places. My daddy is gone now, but he gets my thoughts today and always. Miss you daddy!

I am getting my father a nice shirt for father's day, along with a greeting, hug, and a kiss. This is the least I can do to show him how much I love him and to thank him for his sacrifices for me. Father's day is his special day. My father is my inspiration and the best person in the world.

A ten man tent!! Funny too, because the plan was to go get it last night. Of course he didn't know. At dinner he's TOTALLY 'hinting" about this tent! He left for music rehersal. We hoped in the car... zoomed and got it. When he got home we had him close his eyes, walk to the back of the car and lift the tailgate. He pulled the blanket off and about fell in the driveway! He was so excited! We done good!! We're camping in the backyard tonight!

I don't know if I'll still get my dad anything because he doesn't seem to appreciate what I give. It's not that he's a bad person; he's just not into gifts and stuff. The only gifts that I've ever given him that he really appreciated were key chains, but he already has so many.
