Tomorrow is my first anniversary.

Tomorrow is my first anniversary with my husband. We started today. We dropped off the kids, told everyone we were going away and find ourselves alone for the first time. We are finding it relaxing even though we did not go anywhere. I wonder, what did all of you do for your first anniversary?

I have yet to celebrate my first wedding anniversary with my husband but we celebrate our first date anniversary every year. And we always have the same celebration. First off, the kids go to grandma's (I have two children from my first marriage and then my husband and I have one together). Then I make one of his favorite meals and we eat together. After that we usually watch a movie together. Followed by my annual 2 hour bubble bath. After that we go to bed in a quiet house, knowing we get to sleep in as long as we want and have a little fun. I love over the top celebrations as much as the next person occasionally but I find that I look forward to our anniversary routine every year.
