Really cry? It's been so long...
But weepy around the eyes and feeling like crying? Somebody was feeling unloved yesterday, so he was acting like a jerk....

If it's who I think it is....I can suggest some good books for him to read on self esteem.
I don't normally bawl either. I do get choked up at sad things...I can even tear up when things are really bad...like at work, if someone passes. To really cry...I feel so vulnerable...I hold it in and suffer silently.

I used to read self help books all the time. The last one I read was 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. Some of them, like that one have some pretty good advice and can help a person understand what there doing wrong. I quit reading so many of them cause I realized that just reading won't make a difference. You have to actually put them into practice....lol.
Seriously though, if this person is motivated to actually help himself...there are good resources out there for what he needs to understand...buy one and leave it sitting somewhere and act like...'oh, where did that come from?' lol

A few minutes ago someone brought tears to my eyes. It is my own fault though I guess. I told someone what I thought of them (nice things) and I just feel like it's all very one sided because they never say anything back. I feel my confidence fall to the ground and just wish I could have a friend in this world. I wonder why no one seems to want to be my friend. It hurts so much to tell someone what you think of them and them just say nothing back like you didn't say anything at all. I feel so worthless.

Thankyou : ) Yes it comforts me to know that I will always have a friend in God. He keeps me going everyday and gives me hope.

Don't concern yourself with people who are unfriendly. Someday, they will really need someone to care....and no one will be there. Pray for those who treat you badly...they will need you...more than you need them, someday. :) I do not advocate being cruel in return...but I've seen this sort of thing happen myself. What a person does to others...what they SOW....IS what they REAP. I hope you reap much friendship from now on!

It may be embarrassing. But lately my tears fell down because of a movie about World War II. It is sad to watch it. What a bad time! It's not easy to survive in that age. Hopefully the peace will last forever.

Hi, Deb!
I recently cried with overwhelming joy when I watched my 5 year-old grandson hit his first home run! My husband used to play professional baseball, and I felt as if I were watching one of his games at the same time that I was watching Justin's great accomplishment.

I am a very sensetive person so I cry quite often. Not a big long drawn out cry, but I tear up frequently and cry a bit frequently. I had to put my dog down 2 years ago, and I tend to still cry about that a couple of times a week. Something will trigger my memory of her and I will cry for a couple of minutes. I cried a little last night for Farah Fawcett and Michael Jackson they were both to young to die. Various things on TV and in movies touch me too, and make me tear up.

I have been tearing up over the passing of these two icons of our age as well. It is for myself as well as for their shortened lives....for there is a sense of losing my youth in their passing.

I can relate, just last week my 27 year old daughter who is being tested for heart problems...cried from being overwhelmed. I too, have been so tired and stressed it's made me cry.
Did you feel better afterwards?

There is much evidence that a good cry is cleansing for the soul. I have even heard that those who hold in their tears, and refuse to cry suffer more stress damage to their bodies.

The last thing that made me cry was about family problems and it is indeed a very big family problem. It is about my mom who left home and went with her lover. I feel sad about my dad. I know he is hurting although I do not know how much it hurt on his part being a husband but he is just not showing it to us, his children.

garychie, it doesn't matter what age we are, if our parents split up it hurts us. I went through that too. I was three and my mom left my dad for another man. He became my step father, abused me and when my mother left him I was 12. All those years I very rarely got to see my dad. Later, my mother told me her reasons. But I still hurt from it all these years later.
It is a big problem....I hope you are able to work through it and come out stronger.
