In my case traveling to my country takes 8 hours.. actually I prefer flights making a stop because at least I can walk or move.. but being 8 hours straight sitting down it's kind of stressful

The longest flight that I've had was Manila - Vancouver which is about 14-15 hours and then I took another flight from Vancouver to Montreal which is 5 hours. My butt was sore from long hours of sitting. I slept long upon arriving the home of my siblings there. On the other hand, the longest road trip that I had was going to our home province by car during the lenten holidays and took us 14 hours to reach our destination due to the heavy traffic; normal travel time is 8 hours. It was really stressful to us especially to my hubby who was driving the car that time...It's somewhat irritating to be on the road on a summer day, so hot, the car not moving due to heavy traffic.

My longest trip to date was from New Mexico to Puerto Rico - I had an 6:00am flight I had to take three different planes and didn't arrive in PR till 10:30pm. A day of traveling. Yes 8 hours on a plane I couldn't take it. I was going crazy with 4 hours I can't imagine 8.

It's cool when the airplane has those screens on the back of the sits.. I use to watch 2 or 3 movies.. and was not boring at all.. and listening music... but when I take the other airline it's boring.........

Let's see, that would have to be the trip I took on my honeymoon back in the 70's. We took a camping trip for a month and hiked the entire Applachian mountains. We started down in Georgia and worked our way back up to New York state. If I hadn't gotten ill we would have finished the whole way where the mountains ended. The other long trip was it took us two days to ride a Harley up to Massachutsetts. Man, was my butt sore lol. All I wanted when I came home was to sit on a pillow for days hahahaha. We would have tried to make it straight through, but as we kept going it was pouring so hard that all our camp stuff got soaked through and through and we ended up spending the night in a Hilton (the only thing available when we gave up for the night.) That in itself was funny, because here we are in the lobby in all this soaked rain gear, and there was some kind of 'do' going on where all the guys were in tuxes and the gals in evening gowns. Those were the longest trips I've had.

I think the longest trip I've ever been on was one that lasted 9 hours. It was a road trip back when I was a teenager.

My longest flights have been Singapore to London 14 hours and London to Hong Kong 14 hours. Going to Australia and New Zealand I have always stopped off for days or weeks. That way I have been able to visit some really lovely destinations. I have been to islands like French Polynesia, the Cook Islands and Samoa. Those were certainly lots more enjoyable than a 24 hour or longer flight would have been. I find anything over 8 hours in the air tiring. Going from London to Cape Town was 12 hours but felt fine due the time zones. I know the flight London to Los Angeles is also 12 hours but it is totally different because of the time zones. It is easy to feel jet lag on that journey.
