I havent tried that. I love to eat and I wont let the day passed by without eating a single complete meal a day. I'm a slim person and I dont want to be thinner. And its not good in our health. we should eat 3 times a day or if you cant afford have at least one complete meal a day.

I do agree. I live alone and sometimes I am lazy to even cook, so I stuffed my kitchen shelves with a lot of instant food and canned food that I can just heat up and eat.

I don't remember I had ever tried not eating anything for the whole day.
There were days when I had skipped a meal which was still bearable, but not the whole day going without food at all. I don't think I can stand the hunger for one whole day.
What about you? Have you ever experienced not eating anything for the whole day at all yourself?

Yes. But not for 24 hours.... I think the longest was more than 12hours because I had so many things to do. It was awful, being hungry all the time.

The maximum time I spent not having eaten anything is about 16 hours and I felt pretty bad. I had a major stomachache, headache and I felt cold and tired. My sister didn't eat anything for a full day and so in the next day she fainted while we were at the mall. It was very scary.

Not eating anything for a whole day?? There's no way I can survive without eating anything even if I get totally depressed.
Maybe I can, if I'm just lying in the bed and sleeping for one whole day which is very impossible for me, unless I got sick.
To be able to do something, we need energy. To have the energy we need, we should eat food. Not eating at all would make us very weak and unproductive.

I agree, but sometimes we are just to busy until we forgot that we should fill our stomach. Thank you for you comment.

Not eating for one whole day?! Is that really possible?
I haven't experienced that, not even once. Maybe I can if I'm just lying in my bed and doing absolutely nothing but sleep for a whole day.
I don't think I can survive without even having lunch. It's just too hard for me. =)
In order for someone to be able to his job, he needs the energy he can get from what he eats. Without this, he'd probably be unproductive and less efficient.

I think it is possible. Maybe there really are people like this that we didn't know, hehe, but I am not sure myself.
Thank you for your comment though, have a nice day.

Sure, lots of times. Sometimes on purpose, like when I'm fasting or getting ready for surgery (it was dental surgery) and other times when I don't feel well. It's best to let the body decide whether it wants food or not, and when I don't feel hungry, I don't eat. Not eating for one whole day won't hurt anyone except maybe a diabetic, then a glass of juice now and then would be needed. The human body wasn't meant to have to eat three or four times a day every day of its life.

I didn't know that. I thought we MUST eat our 3 meals which we sometimes skipped. Anyway, thanks for sharing this information.

hi dear friend, i take fast but at the end of the day i eat something. atleast one glass of milk and a banana or apple. or sometimes hot milk with boiled potatoes. but that is in times of fast. otherwise when i was working , i use to go empty stomach and sometimes i use to pass the whole day , by just drinking water and then when i come back home , i feel like fainting. then my mom use to make a nice mango shake or cold coffee with a scoop of vanilla and chocolate and use to serve with chocolate cookies.

That so sweet of your mother. Try not to go on empty stomach when working, at least pack a sandwich from home. That's what I do when I was still working.

I do this sometimes actually. Some days I just don't feel like eating. Ironically, I work in a restaurant. Sometimes I just get tired of looking at food. It is hard for people who do not work in restaurants to believe, but it is possible to get to the point that you don't want to eat. I usually only eat about one time per day anyway. I usually eat about noon each day. Occasionally, I will get a small snack at work, or we will send out for a pizza or something because we are tired of looking at chicken, but it is rare that I eat two full meals per day. It is actually not that hard for me to go an entire day without eating.

I thought we need food for all the nutrients needed, but a lot of people here who actually only eat one whole meal on day. This is very interesting, i thought I am the only one who is not eating 3 or 4 times a day.

I have tried it a couple of times. When I was younger I read books about fasting and heath. My life was very unhealthy, I ate a lot of candy, chips, cakes etc, and I decided stop eating unhealthy things. Before I quit all the unhealthy things, I wanted to fast for 3 days. The first time it didn't go that well, and I didn't manage to fast for more than one day. I decided to try again later and the 2nd or the 3rd time I managed to fast for 3 days. It was a way of testing myself and my willpower and I wanted to prove to myself that I could do it.

By fasting you mean not eating but you do drink some water right? fasting for health. That's a way to detoxify your body. Thank you for sharing.

Yes, I have. I woke up quite late and I had something to do, I need to go to town to do some banking transaction. I was not at my own place so I spent some time driving round and round because I was lost looking for the bank. Then I have to service my car and pay some phone bill. I think I forgot to eat. I only ate at night, then I was already to weak and tired to eat.

Yes, in my country, all the Muslims do that too. They didn't even drink one drop of water. The other race respect this and try not to eat in front of them when they are fasting.

I've done that a couple of times when I totally ran out of food and money. It is a horrible feeling. I went to bed once thinking I could sleep but my stomach growled the whole time, and woke up weak with a bad headache the next morning. I am usually constantly eating because I go through so much food that I eat 6 or 7 times a day, so that made it worse. This is something I wish on no one.

I am sorry for you, it is truly a horrible feeling and sad situation to be in. When we are so used to eating a lot and suddenly withheld for doing so, our body will start to complaint. I hope you are better now. Have a nice day and happy lotting!

Never for the whole day. I only not eating anything at all from dusk till dawn. That only during fasting. I don't feel anything though, perhaps since I already got use to it. Besides, if you drink enough water or eat something before starting it, you'll be fine. Want to know what's weird? I have gastric problem. If I skip meal on any ordinary day, I will have stomachache. But on during fasting, I don't have any problem even if I don't eat anything for the whole day.

I can't.I will be cranky, lazy, and disturbed if I won't eat for one day.I'll be distracted by my hungry, growling stomach.I won't be able to work well on a hungry stomach.

I have done it more than once. But I take care about drinking enough water. And when I say water, I mean water, not sodas.

Really? Why didn't you eat? If you can't eat for a whole day then you should at least drink plenty of water, if not you will lose so much energy you can faint.

Ah, I can relate to this one also. Sometimes if we just had too much to drink the night before, we won't have the appetite to eat. To cure that, I drink some hot soup... it is not too heavy a meal and can get you full at the same time.

I can certainly tell you that i will not do!
It really is too bad,if not always of the stomach to listen to the call cf my words,I feel that they abuse their own.I will protect myself,I will not be treated as their own!
