I think there is no confidence at all because various issues behind on the Indian cricket team and players not supported and they didn't play up to the mark and most of the players giving preference to Individually and not performing as a team and Most of the Indian fans not interested to see them also after the end of the tournament.

Well, few points that I noticed and I think is correct for the reason, they were not able to do well are as follows:
1. The top most reason mentioned by the Indian Cricket Team Coach, Mr. Gary Kritson, they they have been busy playing their homely game DLF IPL, due to which the coach was not able to meet them, and train them according to the world cup.
2. Their was not much difference between the IPL tournament and Worldcup, so the players didnt get much time to rest, so all the tired players full of injuries were sent to play in Worldcup. This didnt allow them to play well in World Cup matches.
3. Their First two matches were very very easy, which made them over confidence due to which they lost even their confidence.
4. Shehwag not playing in the team.
5. Selection of Jadeja in team
Their are more reasons, but I think these are the main reasons.

Hello my friend Dasari100 Ji,
Beacause they were all wounded, tired and there was no juice left in them. They were drained out due to earlier IPL. May God bless You and have a great time.
