what is your thought?

The name "christians" was given at the Antioch church to the disciples.Hence christians are disciples of christ.Who is a disciple then.. "One who takes up the cross and follows me is my disciple" Jesus said... So a christian is one who imitates Jesus and live a life as he did.Sure we can't live a perfect life as He did.But we grow in love and faith everyday!

I remember reading somewhere that when those at Antioch were called "Christians", it was a meant to be a derogatory term. It think it was said back then to simply mean that you followed or approved of Christ and His teaching. Of course since then it has become to mean that you have accepted the work of Christ for your salvation. I guess the initial use of the word "Christian" would be like calling some a "Obamatian" because they liked and approved of Obama.
