When was the last time that you actually did something for yourself and what did you do?

That was not something you did for yourself Saw, it was the others who benefitted when you signed up here and were able to 'meet' you

This got me to thinking and you know what, I can't remember when was the last time I bought that top for me instead of buying something for a grand daughter or for my hubby. Or I seen that something in a store that I knew my friend would really love to have, so I put what I had for me back. We need to know that we should take care of us first when the opportunity comes around, we usually end up doing so much for others and we need to do it for ourselves for a change. YOu deserve to be made special as much as anyone else.

Yesterday I took a walk around Knightstone Island. It is connected to the mainland so it wasn't difficult to get to. I got amazing views of the coast line. I could see Uphill Church on the hill, Brean Head, the pier, Steep Holm Island, Flat Holm Island and Wales. The weather was cool and windy. It is June which is summer time though. I really enjoyed my walk that was just for me.

I'm a person who does for other before myself. For years I would buy for my girls and nothing for myself. Everything has been for my girls or my parents. This past April I decided to book a flight to go to Puerto Rico for a couple of weeks. I did it and it was the best thing I could have done for myself. I needed to get away and it was one of the best vacations I have had in a very long time.

I try to do something for myself everyday. Whether its going for a walk, taking a nice long bubble bath with the candles lit, or making myself something special to eat for dinner or dessert :) It really is the little things in life that help a person maintain happiness. So next time you are feeling down and out about something, do a little something for YOU, I guarentee you that it will uplift your mood!
