Following my discussion "they are not paying me" http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2014046.aspx ... I finally got paid on Friday (June 19). I'm really glad because I didn't have to consult Citizen's Advice Bureau. I sent a letter to the Finance department and tried to be as calm as possible. Basically I just asked them to sort it out for me as I didn't know what else to do after showing them my passport and residence documentation.
Anyone wants to come and have a tea with me? I'm making fruit scones too.

At last!!! Hooray... I'm so happy for you. I really thought they were trying to put one over on you, but you've come through it all, thank goodness.
I love fruit scones! Can we have some strawberry jam and clotted cream with them, please? Yummy!
Brightest Blessings, my friend.

Superjam? What's that? Ordinary strawberry will do just fine... I love strawberry jam on scones. I don't know whether you're familiar with clotted cream, my friend, but it comes from Cornwall mainly and is quite buttery, eliminating the need for butter. A dollop of thick, buttery clotted cream, and a spoonful of jam is delicious!

How annoying for you to have to go through all this . I thought I had responded to your previous discussion but I had not even seen it! What a to do. I'm sure it was a case of new procedures in place and people not knowing which hole to fit you into and no-one wanting to have to go the the trouble of figuring out how to deal with your case. You would have been paid eventually when HR was forced to fulfil their obligations...they could not make you or your two weeks of work disappear!
I'm so happy you finally got paid and I'm sorry you had to go through the stress...I'm a bit like you but I would have given up. It's not the money or the time worked or the time elapsed it's the principle of the whole thing. None of the people concerned would be prepared to wait so long to receive money they had worked for honestly and were entitled to.
Now, to the tea...is it Twinings tea? Do you have date scones...I adore date scones. Have you ever tried pumpkin scones...they are delicious!

It was really stressful and I actually didn't want to chase them but my husband was going to report it to the CAB and I didn't want him to do that. So I had to do my part really very patiently.
I haven't tried date scones. They must be good. I love dates. I should try it soon. I have prune scones. Pumpkin scones? Haven't heard of it. Do you have a recipe? If not I'll look it up online. I'd definitely love to try it.
I have Twinings, ginger and lemon, and I love the blend because it's perfect. Not too gingery nor too lemony. Other options are Organic white tea, and Vanilla Rooiboss. Would you like sugar or honey and some milk?

Great to hear you got paid!! There's nothing worse then having to work for your money and then someone decides that they're not going to pay you or pay you late!! It obviously doesn't bother them as I bet they get their pay on time, this has happened a lot for us when my fiance was working for another company, all they would do is apologise ....but then we'd have to wait for our pay anyway!! Glad yours is good news!
Enjoy your tea and fruit scones ;)

I am glad you were paid, and did not have to take furhter action to get your pay. It is always a pain when you have take action against someone to get what you are entitled to. Glad you were able to get it without extra action. Have a great day.

Hi Steph, actually, it's not about myLot. If you check the link I provided it was my previous post I made about my ranting with the place I worked last year and didn't pay me until last Friday. I had to go through a series of chasing up and stuff and I almost contacted Citizen's Advice Bureau to help me get my pay. Glad I didn't.
