Today, it's father's day but i and my hubby decided to go to car boot sale, to sell some stuff that we don't need anymore and some of his collections that must go, to help a little bit in our financial matters. We sell figurines for a £1 - £4 and videos for 10p each. We did quite well. We sold lots of stuff and earn £55.
I notice that after the car boot sale, some people are giving thier old clothes away and some leave it on the site and some people were taking it with them.
Well it was a nice experienced and i wanted to go to carboot again but of course with fine weather.
How about you guys, share what you'd experienced, you go carbooty to sell or to buy bargains?
Happy posting.

I sometimes do, but most of the time I think that I have just wasted a lot of my time looking at some of the stuff that is on sale. Sure there are sometimes real gems inside the sale and you can get some really good stuff but most of the time it's rubbish that people are trying to get rid of before they throw it away. What i like about them though is how you never know what you're doing to find and that is always a nice surprise.

Hi thnx for response, i bought a pretty goot heater foot spa on carboot for a £1 and im happy with it.
I do agree with you saying that some of the stuff there are rubbish they don't have really good looking and looks like been neglected in thier shed or outhouse which turns into rusty and some are really really old stuff.
But if you are lucky you can get a really good bargains.
Keep posting.

THat's lucky of u.. hehe ^_^ I have always like carboot sale or garage sales because everything is cheap for buyer, while sellers get to earn upon their unwanted things too.. hehe ^_^
PLus, it's father's day today.. IT's an alternative way of getting something nice at a very reasonable price too.. hehe ^_^ Too bad, in singapore, we dun really practice this kind of sale which i find it disappointing.. hehe ^_^

I have always been rather intrigued by car boot sales but that's probably because I have never been to one! I'd love to go though - either to buy things for dirt cheap that people just don't want anymore or to sell stuff that I have no use for any longer. Just not sure where and when the nearest carboot sale takes...

Well aside from others trash, if you lucky you can find nice cheap stuff from other peoples collection. My hubby sold his wargames collections plates in cheaper price, he never even use it, it just stuck up in the loft.
Try to search online for the nearest car boot sale location, Im in derby so i went to cattle market.
Cheers.
