My Rottie puppies are giving me hard time! I have a boy and a girl, but the male is getting a bit aggressive with the female. He takes away her toys and treats and she is petrified. I decided to lock him up in the kennel with his bone and let her outside with her bone, but an hour later he was out. When I looked, he had chewed the chain link kennel through and made a hole to get through! I can't afford obedience classes now, so any ideas?

Whoa a rottie. I love rotties. You should have established your position as the alpha dog. You do this by turning your rottie pup upside down and rub its stomach til it gives up and doesn't struggle anymore. Or better yet, if you can't handle them, my kennel is big enough for one more rottie pup. LOL.

Oh, one more thing, puppy rotties think like a three year old child. Plus they will often challenge your authority, so better be tough and rough so that when they grow up, they'd behave and respect you.

I don't think there's much you can do about it, he's establishing his dominance as the alpha male. It's in their nature, it's what they do and it's their job. Unless he's actually hurting her, you'll probably just have to let the natural social order be established.
Gus bosses Cookie around, too, and every so often she gets fed up with it and whoops his butt. Nobody gets hurt but Gus' pride takes a pounding. I'm sure the same thing will play out with your furbabies!
