Ranting... I just broke my favorite pair of sunnies!!! How clumsy of me...

I usually find it hard to buy or choose a pair of sunglasses for me. Maybe it's because of my facial features. But today, I just broke my favorite pair. The worst part is, I bought it from another country... and for sure, it'll take me a while to find another pair that'll suit me. Argh!!! I hate myself for being clumsy.
Did this happen to you? Breaking or loosing something, that you're sure will be a hard find in the future?

Sorry to hear about it, Kryzell. I have a similar experience. I too have difficulty finding the right shape of sunnies that suit my facial contour, shape and everything. I love sunglasses that look like headbands when you put them on top of your head. But I seldom find them let alone a pair that compliments my face shape. And to have it broken was really regrettable. But it was a baby who broke it.

Yes, it's hard to loose something that you know you'll have a great difficulty looking for it's replacement. But since it's a baby who broke it, you can't rant that much. As for me... it's my own clumsiness that broke it, nad I obviously have myself to blame, argh!

It's hard for me to find sunglasses to suit, as I have quite wide eyes and most of them are too narrow. Anyhow, a few years back I got a "freebie" pair with She magazine. They were tortoiseshell effect, very retro a la 1950s screen Siren.
They suited me to a tee and I wore them everywhere. Until (sob) I went out for the day and left them in a pub! I called back but it was too late - they'd gone.
Ever since, I've been looking for a pair the same - but none of them suit me as they're all too DARN NARROW.
So yes, I do know the heartache of knowing that "this is the one", only to have some damn floozie in a bar whip them away from you ...
Broken hearts or broken sunglasses - they're all the same.

actually.. it's past 12 to where I am right now. Just staring at my poor pair of sunnies.. hoping there's a way for me to repair them (although loosing hope, seeing the broken pieces, sigh!) Somehow you made me smile with the line... nroken hearts or broken sunglasses. Yep, I am so broken hearted right now...
