Italy faces a tough task of qualifying for the semi-final of the on-going Confederations Cup in South Africa. The team's one nil loss to Egypt has opened up the group and the team must make effort to beat Brazil today in the last group stage match.
Many analysts believe that Egypt has the ability to defeat the USA and qualify for the semi-final stage of the competition. If this happen, the only way Italy can qualify is to defeat Brazil; a tall order! The last time both teams met, Brazil was on top with a two nil win.

I do think that Brazil have a good chance of making into to the next round. Italy needs a win at all costs. The Brazilian have a lot of creative players though the Italians are disciplined and tactical too. However up till now Lippi and company have not impressed a lot. So we will wait and see what happens tonight

With two wins out of two group stage matches so far and a maximum six points, Brazil is as good has already qualified for the semi-final stage of the semi-final stage.
I agree that the Brazillians are vulnerable and tend to concede goals rather more easily than the Italians. However, Brazil players know that if Egypt beat the USA, and they lose (by wide margin) to the Italians; they may be out of the competition. On that basis, I foresee the Brazillians playing the match against Italy with full determination.

Looks like you got it wrong man!!
Italy's 'discipline and tactics' couldn't save them from defeat at the hands of Brazil.
Anyway, 2-0 would have sufficed but that own goal from Dossenna was an icing on the cake.

i always remember the quarter finals of FIFA worldcup 2006...italia beat brazil..
but the time has changed...Buffon is not doing good like iker cassilass(Spain)
here in Brazil, Coupet is doing very well..
when Robinho strikes, its difficult for Buffon to stop..
KAKA the Winger flying in the direction and his strong knocks will lead Brazil to win over italia..
happy to respond ..happy mylotting
