The 2012 doomsday prediction is a present-day cultural Meme proposing that cataclysmic and apocalyptic events will occur on the year 2012. This idea has been disseminated through books, internet sites, TV documentaries and film which will premier on the 11th month. The forecast is based primarily on the Mesoamerican Long Count Calendar, which is presented as lasting 5,125 and as terminating on December 21 or 23, 2012, along with interpretations of assorted legends, scriptures, numerological constructions and prophesies. Do you believe it?

Hell no I don't believe it. The world will end when it ends, and no one can predict how or when it will happen. This is just stupid people trying to scare everyone out of their minds, whether it is to get them to buy books on this subject or even just to spend money on anything. This "discovery" really only came out when the recession started, that's why I think it's a cash grab for people who have a way to benefit from it. I am living my life like I will be living until I'm old and gray. I refuse to be scared by this crap, and I refuse to fall in line with those who do believe it. It's not worth worrying over what will happen, as no one knows. From what I know, Jesus didn't die on the cross, He wasn't resurrected, He didn't die, but was in a coma. He had 3 days to heal and He did. When He awoke from the coma, He was healed. This is all superstitious nonsense, and it's just getting people worked up for nothing. When the world is still here in 2013, people will realize that they were being foolish in thinking that the world was going to end. You know, this could also be a way to create a population explosion, couples wanting to have children before the end of the world. If this happens and the world indeed continues, this is going to have terrible consequences in the long run. There will be so much over population we wont survive. So no I don't believe it. Movies are fictional. They portray non-factual events, with no scientific basis, there is no truth to some movies out there. Sure, supposedly a meteor wiped out the dinosaurs, but it could have been anything. Dinosaur bones could be fake too, you never know. Scientists could be claiming that they've uncovered preserved bodies from 4000 years ago, but they could turn out to simply be 100 years old, how are we to know? Fiction is clouding our judgment, and is feeding us lies, more often that we realize and we learn to believe it, since there's so much of it around. So until it happens, I don't believe it, and I will continue to live my life as if nothing is going on in regards to that.
