After seeing The Godfather and imroving it as one of my all time favorite film, I wanted to get more into & watched the whole trilogy, from my DVD collections. Words can't describe how great this sequel was. The acting once again was amazing & the story and how the movie went on never got me bored. Everything in this movie was clearly beautiful. The ending by far is my favorite when they're all sitting at the table talking. There were so many great scenes like Vito when he was younger, Fredo at the lake, and many many more. You have to see this movie because it's just brilliant filmmaking. It's not better than it's first film but still an extremely worth sequel.
To those who have already watched this... Do you think the first part is better than the second?

I think that Godfather Part II is equally as good as the first and for me going back to the days when Don Vito is setting up the family is what makes this film so great. De Niro is absolutely amazing at taking the iconic character of Don Vito played by Marlon Brando in the first and re-creating him in his early days. Combine this with the ongoing story line of Michael creating his dominance as a ruthless Don makes the Godfather Part II a great film.

Yeah the scenes w/ Robert De Niro as young Vito Corleone did attract me more to the film, I like Vito's cool character more than Michael...Feel free to post back mate & thank you!
