Correct Me IF IM Wrong!!

i have been a my lot member for the past one month. i didn't start much discussions as i need to get familiar with the site first. now that i know how to use the site, i would like to ask if any of you noticed that a lot of light discussions get more responses. some discussion topics under the interest categories like "make more money", "mylot", "earn extra money", relationships and few others (which i dont remember now) get more responses. and discussions related to my lot or Ptc's get more responses than any other topics. But these are the top most. im really wondering if i should just start discussions under the category where i get more response? if i check discussions in other category which is not so popular in my lot, hardly 5 responses were there. Please correct me if i m wrong! if i m wrong please let me know. Starting a quality discussion would not be a problem for me. im not that good in expressing my thoughts, i take time to think and try to express it in the best way i can. i can see that i am improving everyday, that is the best thing i like about my lot. the moment i reached 100th post i got like (9)star which really encouraged me a lot to do better. i don't want to start a discussion for the sake of it. i want to spend useful time here. probably if i start 5 discussions, 3 could be something which i would like to get the views of others. 2 would be just general meant for fun. we cant be serious all the time. my problem is, i don't know where i am going wrong. should i like, choose a category where everyone would like to respond? or the topics which are quiet easy and interesting for everybody to respond. i would really appreciate all your suggestions. thank you!

Many of the members here want the topic under money online category because we have a time for sharing thoughts and experience about different sites.

Yeah but there's a lot of new site that don't have a records of spamming. Thank god there's mylot and there's members sharing with their own experiences.

ya i know, i think it is unfair. there are many discussions already that explains about the site. I just realized that everyone should do a search first in the search box on the right corner, select my lot/discussions. when you search first you can avoid repeated discussions. i don't know how to convey it to everyone. even i made that mistake in the past, now i will not do that. thanks for your response

It might be a lot of other factors. You might not have very productive friends (I think of it as a courtesy to respond to my friends' discussions), you might be posting at a very strange hour (where not too many people are online), or it could be a number of other things. Are you tagging your discussions? Are you sure your discussions aren't getting deleted? Don't give up hope - just try to experiment around and see what works.
I try to come up with original questions that have to do with my everyday life. Questions like "What is the meaning of life?" or "What's your most embarrassing moment?" are HIGHLY overdone and therefore a lot of people will most likely ignore it and move onto the next one. I think getting responses has a lot to do with the originality of the question, too.

hi maezee.. thank you so much for letting me know about all the other factors that i wasnt aware of. i usually be online the whole day, i stay awake till late night because it is morning is the western countries. im tagging every discussions. so far i dont think my discussions r deleted. but do you know how i should keep a track on that as in where do i find if my discussions are being deleted. thanks for the response

You will be able to see if your discussions have been deleted by using 'my activity'and back tracking through all your posts.
Use 'discussions I started/replied to but remember that they don't include comments.

Well, one of the reason that discussions does not receive any respond is of course the type of discussion or the topic of the discussions. But from what I have observed, the time to which the discussions are posted matters a lot. Members of mylot are of different places and obviously are in different time frames. Your topics could be very easy to respond but there is no one there yet to respond to it. When the time comes, other new discussions will then override yours. I would suggest that you make add a lot of friends. This way, many of your friends will see outright the discussions you have started and eventually they respond. Do reply to your friends post and to other post. Remember the golden rule "Do unto others as you want others to do unto you". Best to you and keep on posting...

I don't think you are wrong because most new people here come here to earn (no offense to anyone). So such discussions which relate to earning more and making more money as you mentioned them are ore interesting to them than the normal or the usual ones. So obviously they get more responses.
The star that you have got is all based on your response quality and how you rate others. So congrats on that as well. For more interesting DISCUSSIONS, you can look for discussions created by old members, They are good to respond to and you get comments back on your responses which make it all the more encouraging to respond to such discussions...

Just feel free to post anything you have in mind, of course, not violating the Mylot rules and topics which are not existing. Since posting here on Mylot will also add a revenue to your account, i would suggest that you post a topic which a lot of members can relate to it.
Some people might not be that techie, so i guess topics about computers and such will be limited for the response. But for me, i don't mind if i get 5 respondents, as long as they have shared their views and opinions and i get an information from them if they really answered my question.
Some post for the sake of attracting people to answer the foolish question. But it is up to you. Just feel free to post anything you wanted to know and there are members who will help you about it. I also don't mind my star rate here. Most members will oppose you of your belief, your opinions and they will rate you negatively sometimes, but don't be dismayed. It is normal, and you must be brave enough to express what is on your mind. You will learn more here as time goes by.

for me, i start a topic which i feel in that day. This is like my diary to me, its actually my outlet to release the negative feelings i have in that day, my problems, with my lovelife, my family, my friends problem, my problem in the sites that im earning money. I also share my success, my happiness, my fear.
If i were you, i will enjoy first mylot, the posting, making friends. then it will come. you will notice that everything will fall inot places.

it doesn't matter how many responses u get for ur discussions.all u need is one.u will get paid for one response for the discussions u started.if u respond to others same.so i don't even worry where to start my discussions and all.so just enjoy what ever u r posting and doing here.

Try experimenting with different titles and be more inventive with tags.
The tags will expand the types of discussions that yours are linked with.

Hi, i think that is to soon to want more popularity...i try to learn how this site work too. We need some time to learn, i am here one week before, and every day i saw and learn new things. I try to answer and start discussions, and seems that step by step things will be ok.
Is hard to find perfect discussions, with perfect topics, i try too..seems that simple topics are the best, and get many answers...problems from day by day life.good luck
