"Thunderous Action..."

I recently bought APPALOOSA starring Viggo Mortensen, Ed Harris, and Renee Zellweger. On the front of the box was the review quote..."Thunderous Action And Nail-Biting Suspense." I would have bought the movie even if that quote hadn't been on there. But, I admit I have, in the past, allowed such reviews to make it easier to decide on buying a movie. I normally don't pay that much attention to them. Anyway, I watched the movie and then thought to myself, "thundrous action, nail-biting suspense?" Are you kidding me? I've bought movies before where similar reviews didn't quite hit the mark but this one was way off base. Thunderous action is the kind of comment I would give to a movie like TRANSFORMERS. Good grief! The weather forecast on the local news channel has more action than this movie did. And as far as the suspense goes I wasn't sitting on the edge of my seat I was sinking into my seat from sheer boredom. Despite all that the story was actually good. The movie as far as the acting and cinematography goes was good. But it was BORING!
How do you feel when you buy a movie that is totally opposite of what the review says? It just blows my mind that the critic who gave that review saw such action and suspense in that movie. It's just not there.
What do you think?
