does crying help or it simply worsens the situation?

crying cribbing moaning are just absolute negative terms for many...but yet again crying makes you strangely relieved at times...its like a burden taken off your shoulders when your tears have finally overflowed the brim of your eyes..so does crying help or its just a sissy expression n a defeated n feeble approach towards life and the problems it gets along with it??CRYING- is it really STUPID AND SILLY? please share your thoughts with me:)thanks:)
