number behind my name, basis of my income?

Here we can see a figure inside the parenthesis to the right side of our names. Is it a basis on computing our earnings? I observed two changes here:
(1) increase: when i reply to others started topic an additional 1 point, never i see it goes up when I reply posts to my own started discussion
(2) decrease: in some cases after i post my message
If this is a basis to compute income then please tell me how to maintain an increase effect only. Thank you! Hope to find answer as soon as possible.Y our prompt reply is highly regarded.

i have found it to be the number of responses i have put to discussions on here but it only increases with new discussions so it doesnt go up any more if i post 3 responses in the same discussion, i have no idea how the earnings here are worked out i think that confuses all of us

thank you friends! Let's wait for others reply. hope somebody could explain about this things to clear up our mind. we will just hope other mylotters would care to help us with this confusion. Let's enjoy anyway and earn more here in mylotting!

The number in parentheses is the number fo posts you have doen. However, if you posts comments to one of your discssions, you will earn if it a good quality post. You also aren't supposed to just say thank you for someone responding as you don'tget paid for that at all. Keep that in mind when you post responses or comments, as mylot wants us to post meaninful responses and just a few words or one liners, won't help with your earnings. As far as our earnings are concerned, no one knows how mylot does it, but to me it doesn't really matter. They pay and that is all that matters. Well, I hope that this has helped. You may have posted a response to a discussion that got deleted, and when that happens you will have a decrease in earnings and posts. You have to make sure that you don't respond to a dsicussion that violates the terms of service. Most of the time it happens, because links are posted and that isn't allowed. Or it might have been a discussion that was a duplicate of another discussion. I hope this has helped you.

oh! very well said, yes i guess so, i remember i had made a post to a prior message with referral link. I'm recalling where but i cannot remember. yes friend from now on i should be careful and avoid to reply those unwanted messages. you helped me a lot friend. ah so you mean every reply i added to a prior reply of my topic started also credited if it qualifies and meet the criteria. whether increase or not to the number doesn't effect on the income balance. okay you cleared my mind but what is the effect of that deduction on the number, twice i encountered a decrease after a comment i made to one of the respondent of my topic. on that time i thought i was late to reply so it was deducted 2 points. well i don't really know. important is to concentrate on increase side. yes i will exert effort to post a better and knowledgeable message.
