A friend of mine currently looking for a new laptop computer. His old laptop which is Sony Vaio was damaged and irreparable. He told me that his old laptop was costed around 2 grands; and he also purchased the premium extended warranty for that laptop. I told him that he overpaid for that laptop. I won't never spend over a grand for any laptop or desktop. I don't care what brand name they carry. For technology, especially computers, they always cut their prices after new products flow into the market. I won't have to spend that much money for a laptop just for surfing the web, or make CDs or DVDs. It is not worth the price you paid for.

Absolutely I agree that it is best to spend a lot of money on a good laptop, If we have good laptop it looks nicer and the ones that look nicer cost more money so of course we should all save our money really hard to have a good and nice looking laptop. Then we can have a better laptop too than our friends whose laptop did not cost so much and then they will be jealous of the nicer laptop.

i went to office depot and bought a Toshiba satellite m305d, it was on clearance, the sticker said 850$, i took it up to the counter and got a 100$ in store rebate and a 150$ mail in rebate. all together the laptop cost me 600$, so i went to newegg and bought a 500gig hard drive for 100$. but in response to your question, it depends on the laptop, if i saw my current laptop with its current specs on a shelf for a grand, hell yea i would pay it.

Personally, no I would not spend over 1 grand for a new laptop. I have paid close to a grand before but have learned my lesson. Shopping around can bring you to the computer that you need and it doesn't have to cost too much. :)
