We can't compare his airness to Mr. bryant and Mr. James. In terms of skills, team leadership and accomplishments, Jordan stands out. But we can't leave bryant and lebron behind. In the recent NBA playoffs, the two showed why they are the best in the world right now. and obviously, Kobe become victorious. Not because they became 2009 NBA champs, its because he became a mature man who learned from failures he faced around.
If we go way back in early 90's, Jordan also experienced the same thing, failures in the hands of detroit pistons. Jordan used it to standup and succeed to history.
Lebron, on the attitude he've shown in their conference finals make a man of failure. He needs to accept that he needs hardwork and determination to succeed. We've seen how determine he was on the last two NBA conference finals. But still,he failed. The same thing happen to jordan failing by two NBA conference finals (if i'm not mistaken) befor sweeping them on the third encounter and winning the 1991 NBA finals. Its a very inspiring event in basketball history. Its like this event happened to these three NBA greates. They just show us that failures are the one that mold us discover and exceed our capacity to succeed. =) I just get inspired with this guys, BTW. lebron, I believe someday he will succeed. Thats why I include him =)

jordan is simply jordan. i could not compare him to anybody else. although both kobe and lebron have made names for themselves also in the basketball arena... i left my heart with the bulls back in the 90's. hehe
not only as a sportsman, a lot of people really looked up to jordan especially his teammates. he was instrumental in the salary increase of most of his less popular but equally talented teammates. he wasn't selfish because he has shared his glory and financial benefits.
up until now, jordan still ranks amongst the top ten highest earners amongst athletes for the past 12 months. of course, kobe and lebron are in the top ten too.

hi mylesnarvaez! yeah I agree with what youve shared. In terms of true leadership and the intensity Jordan gave in NBA history, no one has accomplished it as of now. Jordn era began when I was only a kid so I just able to know about his greatness through the record books and documentaries that showed the michael jordan of basketball. Those documentaries are very fantastic and was very inspiring. I hope someday someone can relive the spirit Jordan had bringed to the history of basketball ;)

Hi myles! I was able to watch the 1997 NBA finals againts NBA finals (game 7 to be specific). I remember the moment they became 6th time NBA champs were in the game was totaly intense! That was the first time and last time when I saw him playing for the Chicago Bulls! Atleast even for the very last time, I was able to watch his game on live TV lol. Jordan made a goodbye shot when me hade a basket againts russel =) (as what basketball analyst describe it)

i say nothing can surpass in all aspect as jordan has. i mean he has all the talent and ability that no single or two players could match. from popularity itself, jordan is more popular than Jesus Christ, i mean who could reach way up of Jesus but only him. talent...he is fast and furious. when he gone off your guard, for sure the next thing you know he's in the air feeding the ball towards the basket. lebron and kobe also have their own talents, but when it comes jordan-he's the combination of the two.
when jordan's era's gone, i have no interest in nba anymore. when he first retired i was so sad and when he came back, my interest in nba also came in as i tried to follow every game that chicago balls has. i was so surprised because jordan even became so fearsome, and i expect the team to be the season's champion-and so it does.
nba of today became a little unfamiliar compared to jordan's time. there are still instances that i watch nba, but not that often. i wasn't so excited when my team la lakers got the crown, unlike before every game that the balls is having, i was on the front row cheering the team and leap high when the team got basket. i even cut classes just to watch the balls defendng their title live. that's how fanatic i was during mike's time.
until now i have clips and some memorabellas from the chicago balls, especially the clip from the winning shot of michael vs the jazz. wow, NO ONE COULD EVEN MICHAEL JORDAN.

thanks carl, I also observe it on how basketball today was popular as compared to its intensity compared in the early 90's. Jordan's game made alot of people around teh world to be basketball fanathics. Unlike today, the intensity before was amaizing and as of now, nothing can be compared to it. =)Its a history =)

all three are great to me. noone should be held on par with michael jordan in my opinion. he was too good during his time. kobe bryant is a hard to come by player and is proving to be the most dominant player on the court right now with his sharp shooting and skills to get to the basket and finish. lebron still needs to get better at shooting. however, all three are great.

There will never be a player that can be compared to Air Jordan, because not only did he 'own' the court, he changed the game.
Bryant, James and players of the future may aspire to be Michael Jordan, some may be better shooters or stronger defensively, but, none will be able to do what he already did.

hi mayujin!! Its a mismatch in terms of experience. Lakers has gain alot of it that's why they where able to adjust to the situations along the game. They deserve it because of the determintion in their game =)
