facebook, myspace, good/ bad?

I used to have a myspace account, then later a facebook account. i still have it now, at first i am amazed wow is so easy to find people those in the present and in the past. facebook is a better version of myspace to me, but after using facebook awhile i am annoyed at how always there are random people adding you, sometimes spam you. but it really make my life easier, when i need to contact people i can just leave a quick comment. or organizing party i can just open a group and invite people to see whether friends are going. for me these sites are great, yes there might be danger to leaking private information but if there is always a conscience to remind you that internet is not safe then everything is fine. you think?
