how do you clean your room

how do you clean your room if you have asthma and allergic rhinitis. i only last a few hours before i start itching and wheezing and sneezing. It's gets quite dusty where i live

I too suffer from the same illness and tend to get it by just simply cleaning the room. I too wondered if there is another option of cleaning ?
I guess a vacuum cleaner could help us or possibly hiring a maid could keep us away from cleaning, but both the options are a bit expensive. Any other suggestions would be much appreciated.
