'karm' or karma are nothing but Sanskrit(Indian language) word which means 'work' and not 'luck' as many westerners misinterprete it just like the word 'guru' which actually means 'teacher' and not 'expert'. If you are asking about 'luck' then yes like many Indians, I believe there is good as well as bad luck.

Karma is past actions. As we sow so shall we reap, it is written in sacred scriptures and I think it is all about the actions we do in life. Karma means also duty we have to perform in daily life.

The exact definition of karma is the effects of a person's actions that determine his destiny in his next incarnation. Well it's actually good to believe in Karma if it makes person to do good deeds in life. So i do believe in karma. As long as you are doing nice things you don't have to worry about bad karma.
