I was reading a bit on the school fundraisers and wanted to ask if anyone has ever seen an Avon fundraiser? You usually get the same types of fundraisers every year. I actually sell avon and was thinking about expanding a bit and trying a fundraiser for my children's Preschool, just to see how it works. Would people buy things from Avon for a good cause? I have done some research and the prices are actually just as good as in the Avon catalog. Everyone has heard of Avon. Just wanted some input from other parents to see if they got a fundraiser like that what they would think. Plus, the items would be great gifts at christmas time like bubble baths, lotions etc.
I myself don't care for the constant papers being brought home, but at the same time, I would be able to choose how much of the earnings go to my particular organization.

I think Avon would be cool. However, we have done a couple of different fundraisers at the school and the best ones we have done are Yankee Candle and Script gift card sales. The gift cards go over great at Christmas there are about 200 different types of gift cards they have. Good luck.

Thanks for the input. Just deciding if I want to organize an Avon one or not.

I am with 2 different party based home based businesses and they both have fundraiser options. I think all companies like us do. I'm with Kidsmart and Usborne Books. What I have done for Fundraisers myself is just given whoever the fundraiser was for the hostess benefits on top of the regular fundraiser options, especially if it's for a daycare or other children's organizations. For those of you that are not familiar with the companies, Kidsmart is a company out of Kamloops that sells unique and safe children's products. Usborne Books is a children's book publisher out of the UK. The fundraising programs for both my companies are different.
But I do have a really great fundraising idea for anyone in Canada, no matter what you are fundraising for. Sobey's Bucks! My cousin is going to Europe in the spring with the high school here in town. The students get 5% or so of what they sell. It's not hard to get people to buy Sobey's gift certificates, who doesn't buy groceries?!?! Here's how easy it is, you sell Sobey's gift certificates to your family and friends for however much they want. They get the amount that they request, then every 3 months you get your percentage back. Once a month you "order" the new gift cards. I'm not sure if there has to be more then a group of x number of people or not. If you have a Sobey's near by, stop in and talk to someone. You never know until you ask. Good Luck with all your fundraising!
