Doubt!

I just saw this movie today with my mother. I think it was OK. The acting was phenomenal...and I do think that the plot was good. I am not saying it was an amazing movie. The way I understood it was that just like the gossip analogy with the feathers, once you say something, whether true or not, you can never get it back. Once Meryl Streep convinced herself that Phillip Seymour Hoffman was guilty, that was it. She was so convinced! But the actual act was never proven, which gives everyone watching doubt, which was the whole point of the movie. You can take it and think back to your own life in certain situations. I'm sure we have all been so convinced about something, and no matter what anyone else says, you have already made your decision and have already mapped out your actions in response to it. However, I'm sure that you have had doubts. Just like all the other characters in the movie. On a scale of 1-5, with 5 being the best movie I've ever seen - I give it a 2. If you have NetFlix or another rental service, I would watch it.

I watched it the other day and the thing about it to me was the accusation was never proven and all folks talked about in the movie was the doubt they had. I wasn't too down for no molesting, but somehow, I felt the priest was only trying to be a friend to this boy. but it went for something else and now a rep is messed over, a child loses the only friend he may have had in the whole school and that can be hard.

I think it was crazy how he was sent to another church to do the samething...

the plot sucked?!?!...Atleast it had a plot. Blockbuster movies anyone?
