Hello my friends..The buzz around town these days is that the role of Mac will be recast...perhaps the writers have realized that the current actress looks too old to play her and there is no chemistry...
I also heard the oddest rumour today about Adam -- He wil sleep with Rafe...?!?!? First off, I didn't realize that the character was gay - or is he? isn't he dating heather? anyhow, I read somewhere that they will sleep together so that Adam can keep Rafe quiet (about the whole blackmailing thing I assume).

Well the last time she was on, they had finally done a little bit of something make-up wise to try to fix the main thing that makes her look old and that is the eyes but it sill wasn't enough. Adam is not gay but Rafe is and so he would would just be using him just like he uses Heather in some scheme.

Yah - Seeing how Adam is not gay, it's even sillier that he would sleep with Rafe to keep him quiet..It just seems like a very odd storyline to me. It would make more sense if both characters were gay and perhaps had a past relationship or something...this just seems odd...

I don't think they should recast Mac...that character has been played by so many different actresses already! If they can get Ashley Bashioum back, that's different -- she was the best Mac. I think she's too busy preparing to be a plastic surgeon though. The current Mac in my view isn't the worst of the lot. Rather than recast Mac, maybe they should try to do something a bit more interesting with the characters than just a Mac/Billy retread.

I hate when they recast characters. I think that the new Mac is fine and I like her. I don't see chemistry between her and Billy as she is trying to get over him. I think that it is important to remember that this person doesn't want to be in a relationship with Billy.
Maybe that is why Adam is being recast. Maybe the guy that plays him now would not go along with a gay storyline. I hate to see Y&R go that far. I really don't know why things would have to go this far.

Maybe they'll bring back the original Mac. I heard she and a bunch of young actors were let go back then because they were asking for too much money. Of course, we don't have the original Billy, so maybe not.
I think Adam will do anything at this point. Clearly he's not ever going to become a decent person, so why not make him do anything and everything and then just kill him off and good riddance?
