I want to change from AOL to Talk Talk, but i've heard it's quite hard to get AOL off the computer, coz when you install it,it takes over the whole computer. Is it really that hard to cancel or did my friends just not do the change over correctly

I have had problems canceling Aol, because they want to try to convince you to stay with them. I actually had to speak to a manager in order to cancel and found it to work quit well. Getting the Aol program out of your computer system though is a task all in itself. good luck

The hardest thing about canceling AOL service is that you have to call up a representative and tell them that you want to quit. They are trained to do whatever they can do prevent you from quitting. They offer you free months of service and they just don't take no for an answer. It is an absolute pain!

AoL is easy to cancel, just call them and say you dont want thier service anymore..... i IS however hard to get all of thier software off your computer, their instalation programs put AoL software everywhere, including hidden folders. After you cancel with them, you will need to set search to include hidden and system folders, then search your computer for AoL. A friend sent me a laptop that was used on aol and it took me about an hour to sort and weed through all the files to find everything.
If you do switch, good luck geting all of aol's junk off of it, PM me if you run into problems and need a little help.
