doggie odor? We love our dog. We have given her baths, washed her down with dry bath clothes. We have tried just about everything. But there are some days she just SMELLS! How do you deal with it? Any suggestions?

Certain breeds have different odors, u didn't say the breed. What type of shampoo r u using to bath her. Do u ringe out shampoo fully. There r just to many questions , including Does she rub up on certain things.
REMEMBER ALWAYS LUV YOUR DOG/ PET, THEY WILL ALWAYS LUV U..

I wonder what would go into the construction of a heated outdoor doggie wash platform? That might actually be a cute marketing thing. I wonder if anyone else has made one?

My mom used to have the same problem with her dog. They gave it a bath quite often but she still had body odor. they bought some spray cologne to put on her eventually and it was just for dogs. It took care of the odor for a few days and then she needed sprayed again.

My granny's dog used to have
an odor about her and she said it was
cause she was in heat.
Some animals come into heat and have
a very strong odor about them.
Could be a toilet issue.
Sometimes, my cats don't have the best
toilet habits and track the stick out of the
litter box on their claws. Have you tried cleaning her
paws and claws; she may be tracking poo everywhere.
Dogs do that. So do cats.

If the odor was just surface, you could wash it away. Try eating a few cloves of garlic or any strong spice (curry, saffron..) and see what you smell like the next day. -

I wipe my dogs with wipes everyday. I wipe they every night after the walk. When wipe, make sure you wipe the most important parts of possible small area....special after the walk when they use "toilet".....
In 99% smell is related to the spot......

We have 2 dogs and they sometimes to stink. We give them alot of baths but also we use some wet cloths on them to dry and take away the smell. They also sell some type of these cloths at a pet store that do the same thing but we just use old towels and water and that seems to do the trick. You might ask someone at a pet store or call your vet and they can tell you more of what to do.

Look at changing the dogs diet. Just like humans - you smell like what you eat. We feed our dogs the Raw Meat diet and none of them smell bad. They also do not have fleas or any skin problems. Their coats are shiny and they have lots of energy. Take a look at this diet - it is worth it. (We have a choc. lab., a lhaso-poo, and a tiny chihuahua.

Well what breed is she? Some breeds like certain terriers can just have a natural funk to them and there's not really anything you can do for them besides give them baths with medicated shampoo regularly... My akita x terrier mix used to have this odor to her so about every other week i'd take her outside and give her a bath. Of course she had allergies on top of this funk...so yea. I don't know what to tell you except try bathing her alot...but not to much with medicated shampoo... If she's not a terrier mix i'd suggest taking her to the vet, there might be something wrong?
