Dreams definetely is not a fantacy alone. It surely carries a lot of weight. If dreams were mere fantasy, then renowned social scientists like Sigmund Frued would not have burn't midnight oil to write books on 'dream interpretation'
It is believed that dreams that occur near dawn will materialise in real life. Though this belief has no authenticated scientific basis, yet spiritual gurus claim so.
Both spirituality and science concur on one point about the human mind. That human mind has two levels of functioning. The conscious level and the uncoscious level. While all those activities done in awareness come under the former category, those done without our voluntary knowledge fall under the latter. Dreams are believed to occur in our sub conscious state. It is also believed that our involuntary sub conscious mind is all powerful. It is a store house of data, our past, present and future. Its potential is way beyond the conscious mind. Since dreams occur in our sub conscious state, we assume it ought to convey a certain meaning.
It is reasonable proved that dreams have the power to look behind and into our past. With the immense potential of our sub conscious mind, and with more and more intense research on our mind and dreams carried around the world by scientists, perhaps it is just a matter of time before we are revealed the secrets of the mind and the dream.
Every creation of man in this world started from a dream. A dream that was ridiculed in the past have now materialised. A dream has the power to put an intangible thought into tangible. It has the power to put the mind into a mode to create, to excel and achieve the improbable. Day dreaming, which was considered as a favourite passtime of the fools have now been recommended by social scientists and medical practioners as stress busters and development of creativity.

Dreams are so weird because sometimes you want them to be real, and sometimes you cant wake up fast enough. I believe that dreams are truly the subconscious at work, whispering things we already know in a twisted puzzle that we find ourselves trying to put together in the morning.
