What do we really think about Madonna and Mercy?

I am very uneducated on the whole adopting from another country thing but I just feel somehow it's wrong.
There are so many children from our own countries who we can help and adopt - it's a known fact that in each country there are far more children than there are families available to adopt them. Does this just make it like "Which supermarket do I go to today?"
The uproar she has caused in Malawi is far from positive so should she or anyone be allowed to adopt from abroad?

I think that international adoption is a wonderful thing. Yes, there are children in our own country that need homes but the quality of life where we live is so much better than other parts of the world. My best friend was adopted from a third world country and he is so grateful for everything he has in this country.
