I have always been one to worry. I hate it when the worries just stay and stay, however hard I try to place my mind somewhere happier. Nighttime can be the worst, when it is dark and quiet and I try to fall asleep. The worries come and just seem to grow. Are you a worrier? What helps you get your mind off your troubles? Have you found ways to handle worries that truly help you?Thank you. Karen

I'm the biggest worrier you'll ever meet, other than my mom. haha. I sweat the small things, I worry about stupid stuff, and sometimes it annoys family and friends. I try not to but it's impossible to stop sometimes. I have come to realize though sometimes meditation helps me. Sometimes simply closing my eyes and breathing in with my nose and out with my mouth helps a lot. If all else fails thinking about happy memories or thinking about the good of whatever you're worrying about helps as well. Not sure if it'll help you but those are some ways that works for me. Good luck. Oh and also talking about it helps! :)

I'm a big time worrier. I get it from my dad. What I do to get my mind off my troubles is PRAY. That seems to help me alot.

Praying is wonderful. My fault is that I pray and give my troubles to God, and then tend to take them back on again! I truly need to work on my faith in that area. Thank you for responding. Karen

i used to worry a lot but have since realized that i dont have to worry because God is looking after me and like the other respondents, i think prayer is the best solution to worrying.

Thank you. I need to increase, perhaps, the amount of times a day that I pray, and work on truly leaving things in the hands of God. :) Karen

Hi, Peaceful! I thin the main reason I'm not a worrier is that I'm too busy. There are so many things going on in my life, I sort of have to let it all be as it wishes to be and accept what is. At the same time, however, I do all I can to make the world and myself better every day, and I think people who actively pursue improvements are unlikely to worry much.

You set a wonderful example. I hope to become more like this...I am busy, but need to be involved enough in those present moments to push all the worries away. Thank you for responding! Karen

I'm also a worrier, always worry without a reason, but its not good, so I always thinking about something else, like my favourite boyband, or reading. Reading make my mind working and forgot about my worry, but if I'm worry too much, I cannot do anything.

That is the kind of worry I hate most...the crippling kind where one can barely function. Most of the time, there are enough things to do to get ones mind off of all the troubles. Thank you for your insight! Karen

These suggestions are all good ones, Jac. I like the expression "venting it out," too. I will have to try these ways more often. Thank you for all of your help. Karen
