Hello everybody,
Just wanted to know if anyone one here has tried Microsoft's latest OS called Windows 7. Its Release Candidate is out. I have seen some videos and I find it quite catchy. I still use Windows XP and once I have tried VISTA and it seems OK. So now I just want to know if you have tried it or not, what are pros and cons of this new OS?
Regards..

yes..im using windows 7 for the past 4 months...its a beta version..the full version has been released before a month..im waiting my trial version to expire, after it expires i will buy the full version..
window 7 is really good...its performance is very excellent..vista takes much of ur main memory, but win 7 does not..its extreme graphics quality is very much attracting..
its best feature is it supports all the softwares and games..its taskbar mode is really cute and good...but my trial version does not have a fire wall..this is the main dis advantage of the trial version, but heard the full version have the fire wall feature..

u cant say its a combination of XP and Vista..
i can say its an update of vista...so it could be called as vista 2 advanced features..
u see vista takes much of the main memory, so the required Main Memory for vista is 1GB of RAM, but vista will not work properly, that is it will not respond to many programs, multi tasking will be jammed if u use 1 GB , so to have a better performance, u need 2 GB of RAM to experience Vista's full effects..
but people say Win 7 works for 512 MB of RAM and with a P4 machine..but its not effective, because i have tried windows 7 in this config, its not responding to many features, so i recommend 1 GB of RAM and a dual core CPU to upload WIn 7..
happy mylotting..
happy to respond..
cheers!!!!

I'm using Windows 7 right - it's basically a better version of Windows Vista. Definitely faster - and less "aesthetics." And I have to admit that Vista was CRAP. I had Vista for a good 6 months - and hated every minute of using that OS! Went back to XP - then got the trial version for 7, so I said why not.
Everything was at a snail's pace in Vista - but this one is faster, and I think much better than XP. The toolbar (with the start menu) is very clean - I mean it takes a lil' bit of getting used to, but I really like it.
Try it out!
