I guess most of the parents won't like their son/daughter smoke. Nonetheless, it is an unhealthy habit, and it is also unhealthy to their health. Although smoking is common everywhere, we wish that our new generation has less people addicted to smoking.
So, what if you catch your children smoking outside the house, what would you do? Would you punish them? Or reason with them how bad smoking might cost you? Or You would just let it go?

Well punishing at the same moment is unfair, this situations has to be handled very smooth and polite to get him out of it slowly

i would love to give him or her the whole pack and make em smoke the whole pack in 1 hour in front of me!!!!! but not for him or her to like it, it will serve as a punishment and a lesson, and he or she will not be smoking anymore for that!!!! grrrrrrrrr!!!

I will call my friend who is a doctor and have him arrange for my children to visit the ward that has the patients whom are dying from lung cancer and that other lung disease that starts with an E??? We will go so they can see what that looks like, then we will look at pictures of a healthy lung, then a sick lung.
Then I am going to let them smell of dirty ash trays, get a good wiff and ask them if they really want to smell like that for the rest of their lives.

If ever I do catch my daughter smoking, I would definitely get mad. I will try to speak to her and ask why she is doing it. I will tell her in a nice tone the ill effects of smoking. Some kids are pressured by their peers to get into that habit. And you have to explain to them very well that a good friend is not someone who will encourage kids to get into smoking, which is a bad habit.
