Yes, my cell phone is on 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week. Like you, AndrewBoi, I'm afraid that my friend might need someone to talk too, and I won't answer the phone because it's turned off. I actually sleep with my phone right under my pillow while it's on the charger.

I always keep my phone on too. There was a time in the past that all the messages that were sent to people with their phones off was never received so I keep my phone on so that I get all the messages sent to me even if I don't get to read them immediately. Also, I agree with you that I don't want to miss important calls especially since we do not have any landlines at home and cellphones are our only means of communication

When my oldest daughter (in high school) was in school (off for the summer now) I turned my phone on when I got up in the morning to see if she was texting me. We texted back and forth throughout the school day. Now I only turn it on when I am going out, and turn it off when I am home to stay. Not a whole lot of people have my cell number. It's mainly for my kids to get a hold of me. Anyone else can get me at home unless I'm out - then I have my cell phone with me (if they know my number).

Yeah it usually is, but sometimes I put it on Silent mode while I am at work, and I forget to turn it back to regular mode, so I miss calls sometimes because it is on silent and I do not know it LOL

yeah but I leave it in my locker at work and if I leave it on vibrate, it will do it every few minutes for my entire shift and kill the battery, so I put it on silent so that it will not do this.

When in silent mode, you can turn the vibration mode so that even in silent mode, you could still notice if someone would call you.

My phone is always turned on. Usually I don't have it with me by my bed though, unless I'm expecting a call for some reason. I don't have a home phone so, if I turn off my cell, I'll really be out of touch with people. I usually have it on sound as well, not silent. I don't get many calls but I definitely want to be able to get a call if someone actually does call me.

Yes, my mobile phone is turned on 24 hours. I do not want to miss any calls or messages since I have contacts from other countries. Usually when they call or send me a message, its a different time frame. Though, there are occasions that I would not be able to answer right away, most especially the SMS, that is if I am sound asleep. But when its a call, I usually am awaken and would be able to answer such call even in the middle of the night.

Hi. YeaH, for people like you who have love ones or friends outside your country, it is better to turn your phone 24 hours a day due to the time differences we have. We might not know when they like to call you.

My phone is also 24 hours open. I just put in in silent mode everytime I sleep.I will hear if someone calls but text messages wont be bothering me at night. I used to turn the volume on when I am asleep but some text messages do bother my sleep at night so I just keep my phone in silent mode before I sleep.

Mostly I keep my phone in 24 hours a day. I keep it switch of if there is something that makes me very angry or very sad. In that situation I don't feel like talking to anybody, therby switch off the phone. I also keep the phone in silent mode sometimes whenever I want to have a continuous and good sleep.

hahaha. Yup, if somebody is annoying you or if you want to avoid a call, you just simply turn it off. LOL But some important messages might be missed. There are phones which features blocking a number so that the person couldn't reach you no matter what.

I do turn off my cell if I go to bed. I'll inform my bf and will tell him that I am gonna switch it off, so that I will not miss his call, well about others/relatives we have landline so they will call to the landline number and my mom or some one in the family will answer. We all have to agree that cell phones are becoming an integral part of our daily lives. Mobile technology completely changed the way we work, live and love. It has made long distance communications easy. Every one possess a cell phone, it has become an internal part of today's life around the globe

Yes,my cell phone is on 24 hours a day! My boyfriend gets quite angry if he finds my cell off because he sends messages/calls up whenever he has time. In fact my parents often scold me for not switching off my phone at night when I go to bed. But a little secret of mine is that when I wake up in the morning and find his messages,it really gladdens my heart...and so my cell is switched on 24*7 :-)

When I turn my phone off, I usually don't receive the text messages they have sent me while my phone's off. That's why i don't like to turn it off.
