How thankful are you?

I have come across to a story of a monk who never fails to say thank you to every moment in his life. Every morning upon waking up, he always thank God for the renewed strength, for the beautiful morning, for the air he breaths, and for everything... One time when he go out for a walk on a garden temple with the other monk: he thank God for the trees, flowers, bees, birds and everything that surrounds him. The other monk almost felt exasperated, and then suddenly bird's droppings fall on the "thankful" monk's face (splat!!!). The other monk was pleased upon seeing it (but felt guilty on the inside). Can you believe what the monk said? Thank GOD, cows don't have wings!!! Hehehe...

I am thankful. Right now I am thankful for a lot of things and I will always be thankful for what I have and what I don't have. Cheers!!

I'm very thankful, just like the monk in your story. God always there, everywhere I go He always guide and direct my path. In everything I do He give light so I can see the road that I'm taking. God never leave me alone, and I'm very thankful.

Well, that is a funny story. Even bird pooh is considered by the monk as a blessing. Anyway, I cannot blame him. This is only show how graceful he is for every God creation is worth and is a blessing to him. It is a very nice to meet a person whose viewpoint in life is like what he show to everyone he meet along the way. This only show that he know how to appreciate and thanks from his heart. While, other people may hate bird pooh and as you mention. He is thankful it is not a cow with no wing. Well, that is really funny and obviously he says it at least it is only small drops and not big enough to cover his face.

I used to be a very angry man all the time. But somehow or another when i grew older i kind of cool down a little. now i sometimes actually stop to smell the roses. When i think about it nowadays i have learned to appreciate the little things in life. A simple hello would even bring a smile on my face. I am thankful most of the time nowadays maybe its my age is a main factor?
