Why is it when your going up, some people would pull you down?

My team lead actually told me that he was going to file my leave as AWOL(absence without leave) when I told him that I'm not going to be in the office yesterday. How can that be an AWOL if I did give a notice about it. He happenned to know that I am applying for a new job, much much better than my current work. It's my chance to excel. But then he said that the company that I am applying for is not that good as my current compyany. He said that it's only contractual and after six months, there's no job for me. Duh, I did some research about it. I am not that stupid. I guess, that's what you call 'crab mentality'.

There is this thing that when you go up...someone has to come down...the person just above you can go up too but someone from the whole top list has to make way. Seeing other people succed makes certain people who i tag as "control freaks"....insecure and uncomfortable. These control freaks want to control everything and keeps things in their own fist. If you are going up, you'll be out of reach of his fist.......

Yeah, my team lead is a actually a control freak. I so want to get back at him someday. But I still don't have the power to do such things for now. The greatest revenge would be to prove him wrong, that I could be someone beyond his expectation. In a much better way.

You are absolutely right ...... people will try to pull you down when you try to advance. It is human nature and without that there will be no competition in the world. People always strive to be better and that's was keeps us all going. It is needed for the equilibrium somebody tries to leap ahead and others try to hold him back. But no matter what others do you if you have the right skills and determination nobody can hold you back. You will achieve you goal and fulfill your destiny in this world. And these AWOL or whatever you say are just cheap tricks to delay your advance ..... but not to be deterred by it at all. Hold your determination and go ahead to achieve what you want most. I am truly sorry to hear that, it doesn't seem like they actually want to help you to go up. I don't really know why, I think that it is just part of their brain. I have also noticed that with my life now that you mention it. Make sure you have a good day, God bless and Happy Lotting!!
