What is the story of god of war?

Well, i dunno what's the story behind the game, because i have not played it before nor heard about it either.. lol =D I dun like video games, especially those that had some kind of story in it.. I find them boring and actually a waste of time.. lol =D MAybe i'm more towards sports, with explosions, high speed type of games, like GTA etc.. For this kind of games, or dynasty warriors, they dun suit me at all.. haha =D

god of war 1, the starting story is that kratos was aleader of an army and in one of his battles he was almost defeated, but at the last moment he prayed to god of war (ires)to help him and he would give him his soul and become one of his soldiers, and ires helped kratos against his enemy and gave him ires swords with eternal life, but ires lead kratos to kill his family by cheating him. In the other hand ires as a god of war did not give respects for other gods and espicialy athens (he destroyed the city of athens, so the other god decided to stop ires and get reveng using kratos because of what ires did to him and his family. gods helped kratos to find the box that will give god power to kratos to give him a chance to defeat ires. at the end kratos defeats ires and take his place as god of war. In god of war II, kratos starts to behave like ires when he was god of war, and that made other gods angry, so they decided to return kratos mortal again with no magic power but the swords of ires. After being a mortal again kratos decided to get revenge from gods because of what they did to him.

God of War is a story that revolves around Kratos. He is a bloodthirsty warrior that does the bidding of the God of War, Ares. One time he murdered his family by mistake. Ares tricked him into killing them. I forgot how but I think it involved some illusions of some sort. Afterwards, Kratos went out to become a much stronger fighter. He then went out and hunted Ares to avenge his family. He killed Ares in the end and became the new God of War.
