Do you find if you have been out of school for a lot of years, by that I mean 20-30 years that when you go to make a topic or answer a discussion that some times you miss spell some of the words. Sometimes in our every day lives we don't get to use some of the words that we need to answer the topics on here. I hate it when that red line comes up on the screen, then I have to go back and figure out how to spell the words. This is 2009, last time I was in school, was 1964, so been a lot of years and like I said if you do not use this kind of language every day you forget how to spell the bigger words that you need to type a discussion now. I think everyone should brush up at times on their spelling, so when it comes to having to use the words, you don't have a problem with how they are spelled. I know that by just being a regular person in life and mostly a house wife, I have lost a lot of the things I learned back in school.

I experience this a lot of times in mylot, ha.. I used to ace at spelling when I was in school before. Things got worst when I started to have technical lessons and all English spellings I managed to conveniently tuck in my brain without using much. Must say that mylot has managed to make me rack that shelf back and make sure all the words are spelled right. See...I typed s-p-e-l-t instead of spelled. LOL..

I am still studying and have not lost the things out of my mind, not sure if it happens to me in future. But if you have a child and you teach him/her then you will gain knowledge because English stories with vocabulory or mathematics can be revised once. For Ex: I don't remember the lessons which are taught to me in my childhood except a few. My aunt takes tutorials to some of the kids in their locality and I often visit their home, when I look in to their books it makes me feel as I have learnt something new though I have passed 6th and 7th standards earlier LOL

I have 22 years of education, and a bachelors and masters degree and I still spell things wrong. I am also a professional writer and I have this problem along with a learning disability and so I don't even see my errors.
