Is this child abuse?

My husband loves the website failblog.org. He found this video on Fail blog's YouTube channel. I watched it and thought it was funny. But some of the comments left under the video are berating the parents for filming their child upset rather than helping him. I personally don't see how it's wrong or abuse.
The kid is trying to put on a shirt. He can't find the other arm hole to put his other arm in and walks around his room, getting mad at himself and the shirt. The parents (I assume) are the ones filming this, and do nothing to help the child for about 70 seconds which is the length of the video.
What do you think? Watch the video for yourself...

No, that is not child abuse. How the heck is a child supposed to learn to put their clothes on properly is mommy or daddy goes running over to help them every time they try to put a shirt on? I have never filmed my kids doing that, but they have done it before. It is part of the learning process.

I watched the video and well... I just find it stupid and annoying, but I can't stand hearing a child cry and whine. To me, it's just annoying when a kid cries and whines. And I may not find it funny, but I don't see it as child abuse either.

Another thing, too... I used to babysit my nephews everyday for several years. Sometimes, if and when I would try to help them with something, they would get mad and throw a fit. That kid's parents might have tried to help them and we just didn't see it in the video because they either didn't film that part or they edited it out. So, they might have tried to help and the kid threw a fit and didn't even WANT their help. I was telling a friend of mine about it, too, and she agrees because she has had it happen to her. She'd try to help her son with something and he would throw a tantrum.

I do not consider this abuse, it is actually great parenting. The child is learning how to dress himself and that is something that happens sometimes. If he had asked for help, I assume the parents would have given it. There are too many people out there who think they would be or are the "perfect" parents, but when they find themselves in similar situations, they see that it is not abuse.

I watched that a while back and thought it was cute. No that wouldn't be child abuse. You see alot of toddlers experience phases of independency. Basically they want to do it themselves with no help. And if you try to help well lets not go there. I only say this because I have a two year old who can be the same way at times.

That's not child abuse, that's just life right there. I don't see how it is any different than America's Funniest Home Videos from back in the day. They showed stuff like that all the time and worse. No one ever accused them of child abuse. Too many people are far to high and mighty these days. Most of those parents are not different from millions of others, they just pick up a camera in addition too. I've watched my kids get stuck in their clothes plenty of times. How else are they going to become self-sufficient if they don't get themselves stuck and then figure out how to get un-stuck? Lighten up!!!
