The newest thing going on about the world coming to an end

Do you believe these man made stories? I do NOT believe that the world is coming to an end in 2012, like some people are saying. I believe that God is the only one who knows this and I have been hearing these stories since childhood. The world is still here! I am still here! We all are still here! I believe in the bible and God, so I will trust in that! How about everyone else? Please keep this a clean and non evil discussion? Thanks! :o)

The reason they're claiming the world will end is because the Mayan calendar stops in 2012. Guess it had to stop somewhere... but since we're overdue for a magnetic pole reversal, and since the huge volcano under Yellowstone is overdue for an eruption and since the earth has (according to geologists) been hit by large asteroids before and since too many nations now have the ability to build nuclear warheads and since... anyway, time's almost up.
God is the only One who knows just when, but Jesus said that we should "read the signs" and then we'd know when the end was near. According to that, too, the end is near.

The world is coming to end by the year 2012.
It's hard not to be affected by it. Nature disaster
is frequently happening such as tornado,hurricane,typhoons,
floods, volcano eruptions,tidal waves and many others. If you
read the bible the signs are visible now. But I agree with you
that God is the only one who know when the earth will end. The only
thing we can do is pray hard that he will pity us when apocalypse comes.

I do not agree that the world is coming to an end in 2012. I am sorry that you seem to want to believe this. :o( Yes, only God knows, and we see signs, but just storms and other stuff that is happening are not the only signs mentioned. There will be much worse, if anyone can imagine anything much worse than what already goes on, and we shall be spared from it IF we keep our eyes and hearts on Him, not on man, not on what man says. You say that you believe the world is going to end in 2012, but then you agree that it is only God who knows, so which do you believe, my dear friend? What you hear, or God? Thanks for your comment! Hello Mary,I have been hearing about such stories since my childhood and at least 5 deadlines have passed by. Once someone predicted that all the oxygen of the earth would disappear all of a sudden in the year 2000 and the life on earth would end. It never happened and there have been many such senseless stories.
i'm sure this one is also one of them and we should not pay much attention to them.

i agree only God knows. since i was a child very very young as far back as i can remember people were claiming it was going to end.its really scary for a child to hear this. wish people would stop.thanks for letting me share.

Thanks for commenting. I agree. It is very scary for children to hear these things. I know it did not help me as a child to hear this stuff, and as an adult it is still unsettling. I wish people would stop this, too. Thanks for sharing. :o)
