in the recent t20 worldcup.we saw ishant sharma playing all the matches, eventhough he is not performing well.dhoni removed irfan pathan who bowled very well instead of ishant.dhoni didn't even trust r.p.singh who was in tremendous form(the hero for india in last t20 worldcup).do you think that dhoni feels ishant as the future of indian bowling.is this the only reason for keeping him in the side.i want all your opinions on this topic.because i didn't really understand the intentions of dhoni.

Yes you are right.
Ishant sharma has given more value rather than leading Wicket taker in last year's world and in this year's IPL R.P. Singh.
R.P. Singh is a good bowler and is bowling really well these days and he should have played all the matches so that his confidence would have increased in the cruel matches same goes for Raina who didn't got lot of batting as Dhoni promoted himself at number three in the initial matches.

I think Dhoni will gamble a little bit here too as Zaheer is absent and he has Nehra too in his bowling line-up.

Yes, I think Dhoni is taking more of a gamble right now with keeping Ishant Sharma right now in all the matches. We know that RP Singh has the potential and can deliver on bigger stages but he was sidelined because he had some bad practice matches. Ishant sharma was not in rhythm in the T20 games recently but still Dhoni trusted him and that led to much of a downfall for the bowling department for team India!!

Yes. I think dhoni really expect more from ishanth because he is the only youngest bowler in our team.
This is the only reason he expect more from ishanth he has more time to play for the field so he make him a perfect Bowler for the future.
And ishanth it's not a Bad bowler he bowler well but now recently he not Performed well but i hope he will comeback Strongly in the Westindies tour.

I think dhoni went with the blind belief that Ishant who performed so well in Australia will again contribute to India's success in seaming English conditions. But Ishant has been far from consistent after the Australian series especially in T20 he is too costly.

Ishant's performence in Australia made Dhoni have great confidence in him.
But that proved waste in the world cup.
