hello! wow i am seeing so many filipinos and indians here; i am wondering why. is this a trend? Which nationality do you think is most represented here? Do you think how much a dollar costs in your country affects your country's participation here, because you could be benefiting more than americans because of exchange rate?

I have some long-time friends from The Philippines here. Back some time in 2007, several of s came to the rescue of one who was given a lot of trouble because of her support for a Senator Trelane. At least, he was in the running to be a senator, but I don't know if he was elected or not, or anything about him.
I also wonder if Filipinos have any concern about North Korea, being that they are much closer to the Korean peninsula than the United States.

I've always noticed that as well and never understood why. Maybe it has to do with which countries they CAN be from and still participate? I'm really not sure. I'm from the U.S. The main reason I notice is because of the wording. American English has so many exceptions to every rule that it's usually easy to see when someone is writing in English as a 2nd language

Hiyah Meggggg, I like your avatar. Anyway I am Filipino but living in India, so i am both representing the topic you started, lolz. The exchange rate for now is around 47-48 rupees here, probably the same in Philippines.
Anyway you are right, participating here is like helping also our country, but most specially our own self. We do know that there is a global crunch and in this way, we can save and earn money at the same time.
I'm happy to be part of Mylot. I have gained a lot of information and friends and will always stay here no matter what. Keep it up!

I think there are many Filipinos here like me because we want to work and earn for daily living... That's all!

Well, perhaps that is one of the reason why many asian people are going into online earning considering that exchange rate. There is really a difference. With respect to many Filipinos and Indians here, I am not sure, but perhaps Filipinos and Indians have more time to post as compared to other people here in mylot that is why we could read more of the discussions made by them. But this does not mean that there are more Filipino or Indian members here.
