We do have a farmers market, but I don't see a price saving in that. I grow my own tomatoes because my husband won't plant anything else. My neighbor is good about giving us some of her canned goods that she grows and puts up. I try not to buy to much from the stores because I don't like the taste and it does cost to much. Hopefully next season I can talk my hubby into planting something other that tomatoes. I really want my own green house and grow fruits and vegetables all year long.

I usually buy fruit at Wal-mart but i find the prices go up and down alot.Sometimes they have like a Farmers Market where you can get them cheaper. The best thing i found to do is check the Sunday paper for sales before you go to store.

I buy from several different places. I try to buy organic when I can here at the local supermarket. Lately there have been some produce available which is grown by local farmers. I always choose that if it is available! I also like to go to the farms and pick myself. Most years I would go pick fresh blueberries. I cannot do that now, but I did it when I could! I usually try roadside farm stands too or if someone is setting on the side of the road selling their home grown foods I stop and purchase those.

I buy vegetables and fruits from the local market. most of the produce that sells here are fresh. Vegetables, i am particular about it being fresh from farm. anything refrigerated or frozen is not acceptable to me, especially vegetables and fruits. probably i wont be able to go directly to farmer and buy, but atleast i am sure of the stuff that arrives is fresh than what is stocked at some of the MNC run retail shops.
