Am I mocking God if I say that God is not perfect?

There are those who say I am mocking God when I say that I am say God is not perfect.
However, I stick to my point : If it is true that God as creator exists, then he is definitely not perfect. On the other hand , he is immature, childish.
And if this mockery, then it is impossible for a person to be straight-forward and honest on this planet.

I don't think your mocking God if your giving an honest opinion.
However, it isn't possible for a lesser being to judge a greater being. Humans are limited in their perceptions, so one must assume that it is not possible to judge a being that one can not fully understand. It would be like an ant judging a human. It's perceptions in respect to the human are so limited, it could not make an accurate assessment of the human. Once you understand your own limitations, you will not be so quick to judge this greater being
Humans have free will, they choose good or bad actions, these actions impact those around them.
It's interesting to note that most people demand their "rights" (free will), but when there is a negative outcome, suddenly they complain that "God is bad", or "God is imperfect" because of a negative event (basically, when I do something wrong, God must suddenly take responsibility for the negative result). What they are basically saying is, "God, I want everything my own way, but I don't want any negative impacts or outcomes to occur"
God is logical, and perfect; He gives each person free will, and sometimes people abuse their free will and harm others. He does not violate the bad person's free will either.
It will not always be this way; but for reasons only God knows, he is permitting it for the time being
God is too big for me to judge, second-guess, or evaluate; I'm a mere human with severe spiritual and intellectual limitations.
Do I believe that God intervenes sometimes? Yes. Again, He's God, and can do whatever he wants...after all, it is His creation

Oh No! They got you burning in Hell for sure for this!!!! Wait a minute!!!! Lucky you!! Hell does not exist! The truth is that God has heard it all. It doesn't matter what you say or feel but never stop walking toward real truth and discovery. There is so much that you do not know. To understand will change your view of things. God is very very smart. That is why so few understand. Everything about God does add up! There is so much going on that you can not see. Yet. Straight-forward and honest is the only way to bypass the games people play. Let's keep that!

well,....
I think it would be called blasphemy..
but to say he is immature and childish, hmm...I wonder why you say this?
God gives us free will therefore all of the choices made by humans, are there own, and shouldnt be blamed on God.
Yes, others choices will effect the lives of others, that is the way it works...
He is perfect we are not.
It is like a parent child relationship
God gives you rules, and tools, and you make your choice to follow those or not.
Although he hopes you come back to him and repent and live a holy lifestyle he cannot (no, he will not) make you or interfere with your choices...

Ask the question about anything else. Are you mocking me if you say I am imperfect?
The only flaw with this concept is that the concept of "god" is bigger then a single being outside of everything else. I like to think of god as the compilation of everything. Ask yourself, what is outside of god? If anything is, then he is not god.

It's very noble of you, Ulalume to consider God as a compilation of everything. Kudos. Only beliefs like these (no matter right or wrong actually) are going to save this world from the huge disasters it's supposed to see in the near future. Simple, if you think that something (anything, absolutely) to be God, you'll think twice before harming it since that would indirectly mean harm to God. Fab, let's hope others take a cue from such an attitude.

I've never really thought of it that way. What is most strange about that perception of "god" is that it comes from religions/philosophical beliefs that have the tendency to scare the majority of religious people in the world. For example, I am a Satanist; however I am pretty much of the opposite of the public's perception of Satanists. Satanism scares people just because of the name Satan, however beyond that; not much has occurred in the name of Satanism. I mean, we had the "Satanic Panic" in the 80's (I think it was the 80's); however when it came to an end, nothing had really happened.
When you actually examine the beliefs of different religions/philosophies than everything seems to make sense. Religiously god is supposed to be "everything", however when you see how he is worshiped in churches; he is viewed as if he is a human being. A lot of people say, "I need to go worship God!"...I say, "Why don't you worship yourself first, as you are a part of this 'god'?"

It all depends on what you believe, i don't have a religion, i have a belief and in my belief god didn't create anything, god is just the linkage of all living beings, it is something collateral to life, but on a different timeless plane, so in my view it is not god's fault if the world has problems, because he can interact with us only in our consciousness, but ultimately we have to choose what to do.

Hi Frederick42, To say that God is not perfect, is to blaspheme or to speak irreverently of God. Everything that God does, He does right. There will never come a time when someone can say, "Lord, I'm afraid You messed up here." Even when we don't understand what He does, we can be sure that He acts in righteousness. God is not only glorious and perfect; He is the King of glory. He is the pinnacle of excellence, the mountaintop of majesty, the summit of splendor. He is "over all, the eternally blessed God" (Romans 9:5).

an interesting question. in this cosmos everything is in a permanent state of change. Change is the only thing that does not Change. Things change. that is the nature of it. however perfect they are, they will change with time. may be its very microscopic. but it changes. Is God a thing? Is he a person? my personal view is that he is neither a thing, nor a person. He is a "NO- Thingness" and "Non Personal being". god is just that Is-ness. the whole universe is His manifestation. what difference does it make if he is not perfect. Once perfect, will have to remain frozen in time for ever. Imperfection is the best perfection, perfecting from one stage to a higher one constantly is another kind of perfection.
You are not at all mocking at god, but you are complimenting him when you said he is imperfect. god is least bothered about perfection. perfect ones are those prophets and saviors of religions who brought to humanity all the misery and hatred.

If you say God is imperfect, you're actually mocking the person who created this imaginary character called God. You have every right on earth to do so, considering all what this 'God' has done or affected in His name, directly and indirectly! Although 'God' is a beautiful concept with respect to psychology and we ought to respect and hail the person who invented Him, the advent of so many religions proclaiming themselves to be 'God-sent' and to be perfect in all walks of life irrespective of the times and conditions, have proved otherwise. In short, the concept has backfired, unfortunately!

Your right about saying god is imperfect. Cause whoever made god or imagined about god is imperfect. Not god as a creator, but one who created god might have definitely existed thus creating confusion to this time as the creator of god is imperfect...

You can say what you want God gave us free will. He gives everyone that right. I don't agree with your point though. To me God is love and He is perfect. Certainly not childish or immature. The whole concept of God giving us free will proves against this and the concept of love and mercy.
