I turn off all the lights & fans when I am leaving my classroom, room, kitchen etc ,not because of energy cost but also because of energy crisis.

When I go out anytime, I liek to turn on everything at home including the light first is because of safety second is because of not wasting electricity. Wher eI live is quite safe, we don't need to turn on light to pretend somebody is at the house.

I make sure that all the lights are turned off when I leave. There's no point in the lights being on when you're not home. It's easy enough to turn the lights back on when we do get back home. It's not like we're going to be walking into a dark house or anything.

We have two dogs and two cats so we always leave a light on when we go out at night or if we're going someplace during the day and won't return until after dark. I don't think it's fair to expect my pets to sit in the dark just because the humans aren't home. Sometimes we leave the tv on for them, too.

I definitely turn off all lights before I leave home. The only things that stay on are the lights on my fish aquariums. When I go to bed, the fish aquariums go off, the lights go off, and I switch off all of my power strips for my computers and TV because they suck energy even when they're not being used. My husband has a bad habit of leaving our bedroom and pantry lights on, and it bugs me a lot! It's such a waste of money to have lights on when you're not using them.

In the summer time all my lights are out when i leave a room or leave the house. I dont have to worry about not being able to see the walk way or critters when i get home. During the winter i tend to leave the outside light on when i leave for work (in the dark)because i get home in the dark.

Hi! I definitely do turn off the lights, aside from avoiding wastage of money,it does saves electrical energy. It gives me peace of mind not leaving lights on,it's less likely that it might tripped off when the whole family is gone, even my daughters are so used in doing such safety measure,

I always trun off the lights whenever not required, whether it is at home or at any other place, like in life, I always switch off the fan after reaching the desired floor. The thought behind this is, to save energy as much as we can, even a samll contribution from each individual will help a lot in energy saving. In addition it also affects your bills if practiced at home.

I always turn off the light when not in use. And also i dont like too much light everytime i go out or sleep at night i make sure that all light is off. Same with water i also conserve water, now that we have facing economic problems i think we must save energy and everything. I am glad that my daughter was doing fine when the lights is off she knows she have to go to bed and sleep. So really theres no problem with conserving light for me =)
