MySpace Overrated?

i don't think myspace is overrated, because it has a real function. i have reconnected with so many friends who before myspace i hadn't talked to in years. it's wonderful to be able to instantly comment/email/chat with someone who lives far away or someone i haven't seen since high school. however it does bring out the drama in some people! for instance, because of myspace, i know all the drama involving the separation of one couple. the wife gets on myspace all day long and posts what's currently going on--is she really moving out now? did her husband make up with her today? all of this info she makes public. there is also another friend i have on there who periodically writes blogs about how he's such a loner and his friends suck... it just all comes off as a sad cry for attention. i feel sorry for people on myspace who can't control their emotions. for everyone else it's great i think.

If anything, *facebook* is overrated! EVERY profile on facebook is black text, white background. Myspace, you can customize it. You can have drama on AOL, Myspace, facebook, etc. It just depends on who you interact with. Of course, that's true in real life, too!

I don't know about the drama part...none of my friends on there have any drama going on but there have been a few blog entries here and there that were real rants. The folks I hang out with on there are friends and family and we mostly just catch up...or keep everyone posted on what's going on in our lives since many of us are spread out across the country.

I'm not sure where you are getting this idea from, but then again what do I know, I am on the site for apps really. I love playing the games. But I will say that yes myspace could be overrated with drama especialy with certain games on there like Sorority Life. If you look at it when it comes to the internet there is drama all over the place including mylot if you don't watch what you post and such. But over all this is a very good discussion so there for you get a plus in my book. Happy Mylotting

sometimes i feel that way but i love it...i love being able to make my profile look like me and feel like my personality. its also good now that im moving and i need to keep in touch with the people i love...its nice to be able to write and comment and see new pictures of them...i like it.

Myspace? Overrated? never. Myspace is for people to go and learn about friends, or just catch up, or just to pass on funny pics or see what the latest celebrity bozo is up to. So not really overrated, just over-used. Your know what is overrated? apple, the creators of all the ipods. ipod, ipod shuffle, ipod nano, ipod classic, ipod video, ipod touch, iphone. Now THAT is overrated. or as a post-it note i once saw posted on the wall of an apple store said "i-verated".
